It might only be pre cancerous cells...I had the polyp removed, d&c and biopsy done under gerneral anesth. because I was 69 years old and the cervixs had closed up and the biopsy couldnt be done in the doctors office.....mine were not cancerous and didn't find out til I happened to be at my family doctor and she had the results...I don't know why they don't get back to you immediately with the results...it would save a lot of worrying..My husband tells me not to worry til I know but that is just the way I am...can not change.....hope all is well with you..do not fear the surgery.....it's nothing really..

Thank you for the reply glad your ok xx I'm hoping it's my hormones I had a period 11 days before I had the biopsy and hytroscopy done I saw it myself on the screen every thing was nice and pink I saw the polyp embedded in my uterus obviously they never got enough tissue to sample ( letter started of with there wer small possibility of cell changes although that doesn't mean there's nothing untoward) I don't think they know for sure either god bless us all 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hello! I am 41 years old and I am waiting to find out if my thick uterine lining, fibroid and possible polyp are cancerous. I was diagnosed with unknown infertility in my 20's and have always had regular periods. Just in last year, I went to the ER for blood in my urine and severe pain. Since then, for the past 10 months the urologist and gynecologist had me taking Macrobid for UTIs. A bladder scope was done in December showing no signs of bladder infection or irritation in my urethra. Finally, I found a new PCP who examined Monday for pelvic pain with very unusual discharge, after my period and during ovulation. My PCP said the discharge us not normal ad I needed an ultrasound immediately. Had one done Monday as well and that is when I was told I had a polyp, fibroid and thick uterine wall. My concern is I had an ultrasound done in December 2016 and it came back normal. There are no cysts on my ovaries. I have had white, pasty discharge for the past two months, was treated for yeast infection. Tried Metrogel for vaginitis. All cultures come back negative and this past month I have had giant clumps of discharge with blackish brown chunks in it with pain. Blood work is perfect, my periods are now four days instead of seven. I am adopted, too, and have no idea what my medical history. I am getting a second one opinion next Wednesday. I am at my wit's end and find this forum very informative and helpful.

I have had horrible painful, heavy bleeding for at least a year. I had aye transvaginal ultrasound and they said my endometrium was thickened, I have have a polyp and a cyst. I now have to have to a biopsy. What are the odds this is cancer? The reason for the ultrasound was heavy bleeding and clotting, spotting between periods and clear vaginal "slime"

Hi sorry you are going through what most of us have been through or still are going through but you have done the right thing going the doctor usually all tests are done to rule out cancer so that is a positive now the thing here to remember if it is a slight chance it is cancer it will be caught fast and usually just a hysterectomy is enough without chemotherapy xx I'm not saying it to frighten you I am going through the same as you at the moment my biopsy came back with cell changes so I'm going to have a procedure done to have polyp and a d&c and hytroscopy again to rule out cancer xxxx good luck and God bless us ?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you all for you brave stories,.....I am barely starting mine....I think we can all agree that regardless of our age, i'm 35, we need to follow our gut. I had always felt like something was wrong but the doctors always said i was fine and my pap smears were normal. My recent visit with a doctor in another country proved them wrong. I had all kinds of test on my first visit including thyroid, breast and cervical ultrasounds, pap smear. He found some abnormalities and and thickening of the endometrial lining. I was given a treatment to treat the cyst wth mucus found on my cervix and i will return to have a Hystoroscopy. The doctor took his time and he performed the test himself and explained everything.. It is sad that in some countries it goes by 1-2 next kind of system where we are rushed in and out.. So push for more testing, regardless of your age, or symptoms as insignificant as they may seem.. Best wishes to all hope everyone's is well.....

I don't know if I have cancer but I believe I will be finding out soon. I believe I do. My symptoms are heavy periods, huge blood clots...Like almost the size of my palm(not always but enough to make me slightly anemic). Watery bloody discharge, thickened endometrium even after period has ended. No fibroids, no polyps. I just got my last imaging done before setting up a date for surgery to look in there and get a biopsy done. My right ovary started out with a complex cyst which ruptured about 4yrs ago for 3-4menstrual cycles. Now that ovary still has the same complex cyst but now with several other cysts. Not polycystic...
I'm also dealing with fatigue, I will randomly become moody, I've had left hip pain and swelling. The hip thing is a mystery because everything is on my right side. I've gotten sick 3 times in less than a year having to be put on antibiotics withough knowing what infection my body was fighting. All blood work is normal, hormones levels come back normal, thyroids are normal.
Has anyone gone through this? Cancer without fibroids or polyps present? Or is this Endometrial Hyperplasia?? I feel like the blood in the watery discharge definetly isn't normal.

Sounds very similar to what I experienced. I bleed for 6 months, no cyst or fibroid tumors,,many test and biopsies, had my hysterectomy on March 16th , was diagnosed with atypical hyperdysplasia ..was recently asked to go through genetic testing for strong family history of cancer..came back my results were "lynch syndrome "rest of the family to be tested, I like you had severe lower back pain, and the, watery pink discharge , heavy eutermial bleeding, and clots, stay strong, advocate for yourself, and do insist on what you feel is in your best interest, had I followed my Drs. Suggestions I would of been pumped full of hormones and a IUD done, glad I stayed true,to absolutely no more hormones, since My Mom and 2 sisters lost their breast to hormone related cancer...pks..let me know how your doing?

First symptoms we salmon colored discharge, followed by watery discharge.
Weight gain was rapid with 15 pounds gained in less than 2 months although eating/appetite decreased. Always felt full even if I had not eaten for 8-10 hrs.
January of this year, bleeding began but was unable to see my regular doctor and the walk in clinics only sent me for blood tests. Once I was able to see my own doctor, had appointment with specialist and ultrasound very quickly.
A total of 2.5 months passed and the bleeding continued. The biopsy resulted in being told I had Stage 1 Endometrial Cancer and am waiting for the surgery to receive radical hysterectomy. Hope that this takes care of the issue.

Well I had the same surgery as you and the pathology report said Stage 1b with Grade 3 tumor. There was nothing abnormal with ovaries, tubes or cervix. They failed to take a tissue sample of the lymph nodes (surgeon didn't feel it was necessary i guess) so now they are pushing for chemo /radiation as a "blanket" effect. I feel that there is very little chance of any left behind and that the side effects out weigh the benefits of the treatment. They are saying the treatment would be about 6-8 months and then recovery time but they don't seem to think about how I am supposed to support my self during all this. I am thinking that I would be better off rolling the dice and hoping for the best. I am worried that they indicated should it come back somewhere else it would be most difficult to fight. So stressed about the whole thing.
