Hi Joan. The enlarged lymph nodes, itching and breathlessness could be lymphoma. Having said that it could also be one of numerous conditions with similar symptoms. What you MUST do, immediately, is make an appointment with your GP and ask for a lymph node biopsy. This is the only way lymphoma can be ruled out. If it is lymphoma the earlier treatment starts the better, and if it's not than your mind will be put at rest. The important thing is to get a diagnosis NOW. Good luck and keep in touch, we're here for you.

Excellent. All bases covered then. Once you know the diagnosis you can get treatment and deal with it. You'll feel more positive then.

Hi Joan. Going by my own experience I would say it's unlikely but I don't know. I found that the doctor talked me through it on the first appointment and I had the biopsy the following week. I think normally doctors like to see the patients at an appointment to prepare them for treatment. A biopsy is absolutely nothing to worry about, I had mine done under a local anaesthetic and went home shortly after. Couldn't even call it a day out lol. I got the results a week after that. Keep your chin up, it will all work out.

Well it looks as though they're heading in the right direction and when all the tests are completed at least you'll know what you're dealing with and can start treatment. Good luck and keep in touch.
