Exhausted & tired all the time.

Hi

I have been to Dr about my long list of peri menopausal symptoms.

My main symptom at the moment is the constant tiredness, shaky jelly like feeling when ever I do small tasks.

I am finding everything difficult & have to pace myself throughout the day to the basic things that have to be done. Taking hours to restore my strength after doing a small task ie preparing veg, cleaning bathroom, hoovering, showering, hanging out the washing.

I have had lots of blood test but nothing showing. My FSH is 15.5 Dr said it shows i'm not menopausal that my overies are working, but obviously at almost 53 peri menopause. Does anyone know anything about FSH?

My Iron is 29 although at the lower end of the scale not anemic. My B12 is fine.

I take B6, a multi vit, iron tablets, Chai seeds, Flax seeds.I have been taking Magnesium citrate for a week now & because i cannot cope with the tiredness I am going to try HRT (although always been opposed to it) I have to wait until my next period before I can start on it.

Does anyone know anything else i can try? & is anyone else feeling this extreme tiredness during peri?

I'm not depressed & have very little anxiety my only anxiety is could this be anything else other that peri menopause!!!!

Hopefully we will all come through this with a regained strength & tons of energy & be able to pass on useful advice & reasurrance to other ladies going through this. I'm sure there is light at the end of the tunnel, just feels like we are crawling through it at the moment.

Yes it is horrible the anxieties the stomach problems, the nose bleeds, and a lot of sinus colds I have had this year.

I just pray it all goes away.

Ditto everything everyone said and also get your Vitamin D levels checked.  Mine were in the teens and should be between 30-100.  It causes all KINDS of problems and it's typical to have this deficiency in Peri.  Thryroid too -- like the other women said.  All of these things are fix-able but it's a lot of trial and error and don't be suprised if something works for a period of time then stops.  It's constantly changing (maybe that's why it's called "the change").  Anyway, there is a TON of good information on these strings... just read up.  You'll become addicted to the advice and the support on this site.  You came to the right place!  This forum has become my life line and the highlight of my day.  Keep reading and keep talking.  Best of luck!!!  Kim

      Hi Kim

      Thank you

      Just seen your reply.

I have recently had my blood test for Vit D & have a deficiency there, I have been prescribed 3200mg vit D for 90 days then further blood tests to see if i need to carry on or have dose altered.

I began HRT 2 weeks ago & so far feel tons better, hot flushes reduced from about 50 to just 4 or 5. I never wanted to be on HRT but just could not cope any longer with all the different perri symptoms, my newest symptom insomnia was really getting to me along with all the dizzy/nausea feelings.

      Lots of love
