Extremely painful swollen first herpes outbreak, Please help!!

2 days ago I was diagnosed with herpes and my 4 days into first outbreak and it is excruciatingly unbearable. My entire vulva and labia are so extremely swollen that I am in constant pain and I cant walk or sit without it almost crippling me, it is so sore that I cant even touch it. Peeing feels like acid and I cant use the bathroom without it ending in tears. I can feel I have so many sores inside my vaginal opening and they are constantly weeping but because everything is so swollen I can clean or dry them out properly which is only causing them to hurt more. I'm only 20 and it makes me feel sick to think that I'm going to have to deal with this for the rest of my life, I'm so scared that I haven't told anyone. I just want the pain to be over and someone to talk to. I've for so many of these forums so helpful and comforting and would really appreciate any advice and tips from anyone who can offer them please

Hey there, I'm so sorry that you're going through this too I know how much pain your in. I wish I could say its only a few days but for me the pain lasted from Monday through to Sunday. I also struggled with peeing and sitting and them sticking to my underwear, the best "solutions" I found were hot baths and showers really help easy the discomfort, I spent a lot of time just sitting in the hot water, you might have already read but I found Ural really helps with the peeing pain (its like a powder satche the you put in a glass of water and it lowers the acidity of your pee so it doesn't burn as much when you go, you should be able to just buy it at the supermarket depending on where you are located), I also found that once I got out of the bath or the shower that using the hairdryer on a low cool setting and drying the area completely really helped with the sticking. I got put on valacylovir as soon as I was diagnosed as well and I definitely think that it made such a difference in terms of healing time, it just takes a few days to work its way through your system. I also found ice packs and lots of nurofen helps easy the pain a bit. Sadly for me it got worse before it got better but that hopefully wont be the case for you, I'm always here if you need any more tips or just someone to talk to x
