Eye twitching cause of anxiety or something else?

For the past 1 month I've been in severe stress. Have gone through panic attacks, anxiety disorders and what not! It was a few weeks ago that my right eye started twitching and it lasted for bout 3 days. After that it was my left eye that started twitching and its been almost 10 days but the twitching hasn't stopped. It twitches for bout 5 6 seconds and then stops. There were a few days when there wasn't any twitching at all.
Does anyone else have experienced this ever? Is this something to worry bout or it's just normal?

I am going to put your mind at rest esha.
About 10 or more years ago I had exactly the same thing. First my left eye then after few days my right eye. But this wasn't for 3 days or even 10 days but a whole month. Can you imagine?
Anyway I've had twitches before, once before on my eye but in the usual places too like arms and hands, fingers.
It's perfectly normal. I heard it was linked to the body being a bit run down but not sure that's solid fact.
You know the body does strange things sometimes. Ce sera sera.
Hope this helps

Woah that's a hell of a duration! I'm sure mine were because of stress too as they've stopped for now but I'm not experiencing this weird whistles in my ears. This is all is anxiety. Because had it been anything serious, the symptoms would have gone worst.
Well thank you so much for your reply. It was really helpful! Take care

Just noticed u said it sounds like whistles.
I had that, sort of a faint high/low whistle. Haven't heard it for years. I bet if I tried I could hear it again if it was real quiet.

Oh well we all have got such common symptoms and all because of stress and anxiety.
Haha no please don't try to hear it again! Mine is gone too but now I'm having a severe headache 😂

No chance of that, I've always got a TV or radio on for 'company'.

I have dealt with anxiety disorder my entire life. I have also been experiencing the eye twitching for the last week or so. This is just one of many symptoms over the years. I completely relate to how you are feeling and know how difficult it is to just shut the fear and thoughts off. Anxiety is an ugly thing to deal with. Those that haven't experienced the fear will never understand. My thoughts are this twitching we are having is anxiety/stress related. I will also say that if it would help you feel better, go have it checked. Also, last but certainly not least. DO NOT GOOGLE ANY SYMPTOMS. Trust me. It only multiplies the level of anxiety. Best wishes to you and remember-you are not alone in this.

That's so sad and I can completely understand! Dealing with it for the past year or so and the worst phase of it for the past whole month. I am not even able to recall all the symptoms I've had in this whole phase. And I'm sure all because I kept on googling bout them. But yes you're right. It multiplies the level of anxiety! I'm so gonna stop with it once n for all.
And I got it checked, the doctor said it's stress related and guess what the next day it was gone. Lol!
Best wishes to you too and yesss that's a relief that I'm not alone dealing with all this and I so hope that we all get out of it real soon!

Just started last week with the right eye "jumping". If I don't cover that eye it looks like double vision. No pain. Annoying as all get out. I've read where it may have to do with stress. I could see stress because I am my husband caregiver.
