Eyesight Issues after Cataract Surgery

I had cataract surgery 1 week ago and the lens fitted corrected my astigmatism. On my follow up appointment 2 days post surgery I was told everything was as expected and my eye was now -1 instead of -5 prior to the surgery.

I explained to the consultant that whilst everything was clearer (well it should be once the cataract was removed) I am getting blurred vision and it feels like I can see the edge of the new lens. He totally dismissed this and did not even provide an explanation. I believe the new lens is not fitted correctly but cannot prove otherwise.

Has anyone else had (or heard of anything similar) to this?

Thanks

I had cataract surgery 5 days ago and my lens is not centered I can see the edge of it as well.  Doc said once swelling and dilation returned to normal this would resolve.  I also have a blind spot and was seeing rainbow lights  like I was in an amusement park.  My 2nd follow up is tomorrow.  Keep you posted

my left eye iol implant went well week1 , following week right eye , following d ay chk appeared ok , i noticed terrible halos from right eye like an after burner flame at 7 0 clock pisition and blurry vision. arranged to visit opthalmologist few days later, the lens was not sitting flush on cornea the hook i think not seated , anyway called for 2nd opinion and they agreed lens needed to be refitted ASAP , as it can slip around the eye toward the retina. not good , i was booken back into surgery day later and rectified the problem. they must chk lens pressure so no vitreous fluid leak etc ... it it feels not right . insist on a recheck
