Hi all,

Did we agree to a Facebook group for the rest of us? I've just had to join Facebook for work so would be happy to join a group with us all in?

Many thanks.

    Hi BK522,

I am obviously part dinosaur, as I am not on Facebook.  I just don't want to be on it.

The group is a great idea for those who are suited to that medium.

I like the idea but I would only join the group if I had a false Facebook page. I would never just use my normal one.

Yes, FB would be good, especially for some of the more serious subjects where people might not feel comfortable in making public.

The other useful thing would be being able to provide links in a timely manner. It does my head in not being able to give links here, even if it is just for the NHS. Because sometimes they get swapped for patient.info links, which do not carry the information I wanted to show.

Another thing to consider is that a closed fb group needs moderators, from within the group who will see posts frequently and quickly in order to check and welcome people who want to join, set the "rules" (eg respecting each other, whatever rules the group wants) and warn/block/ban anyone who abuses the site, if required. So it's not that simple, albeit a good idea.
