Facial tingling with sinusitis

Just glad to know I'm not the only odd-ball out there suffering from this mess. Right now I sort of feel lucky simply because I'm not a veteran sinusitis victim, but my first 10 days have not been fun at all. It's like right after I hit 49 my sinuses decided to have a malfunction.

Now, I'm no expert, but I thought I would add my 2 cents experience to this equation and reveal something to the puzzle...

What major changes have I done in my lifestyle most recently? --- I stopped using nicotine entirely.

And how was I receiving that nicotine? --- Vaping (e-cigs / pvd's / box mods).

And why was I using e-cigs? --- It was literally the only way I could quit smoking.

And how long did I use e-cigs? --- exactly 9 years.

Yes, I quit smoking of 25 years, but it took a 9 year e-cig DIY program to do it!!!

So here's what I believe... If I would have quit e-cigs last year, then my sinusitis would have began 1 year earlier.

Why do I believe this?...

Propylene Glycol is in most e-liquid refills. It's in the nicotine refills. It's in the DIY flavorings as well. There's also a little PG in the VG (vegetable glycerin) alternatives, there's no such thing as 100% VG.

PG has antimicrobial properties to it. That's why hospitals and the military use it to disinfect air lines, air vents, masks and HVAC systems (FDA approved, I might add).

I was literally "keeping my nose clean" while vaping, then suddenly I STOPPED!

It appears I have created my own monster in this scenario, but I'm hoping my body will find a way to re-balance itself soon and fight back naturally. If not, and I still have sinusitis after 8 weeks, then this crazy nut is GOING BACK TO VAPING, F__K THIS S__T!

im having exactly the same symptoms its the second time its come back and I'm climbing the wall, tingling started near my nose and now it's in my head and face and near corner of my eyes!second lot of antibiotics after GPS told me it sounds like blocked sinuses coamoxiclav didn't do much and then I was given penicillin V which I'm into my 3rd day and I'm still feeling bluuuh x I ain't getting much answers tbh I'm.awaiting sinus surgery and they are hoping that will help as I got a deviated septum. you may want to go.to the opticians and check to see if you got dacryocystitis because that causes burning if u have issues with sinuses the tear ducts intend to back up a lot due to severe scaring x I got tested for auto immune systems and they found nothing basically, but it could be your sinuses and tear duct backing up, chronic sinusitis that lasts weeks last time I had antibiotics I had the same pain weeks later, my eyes get really painful and sore and it's like someone is pouring salt into my eyes and if I touch them they just burn and it feels annoying, I've had 4 lots nerve pain killers nothings worked and the latest ones have been the worse! I'd ask to see if u got a deviated septum as that causes so many issues including nose bleeds as if the nostril is pushed over 1 side everything starts to clog up and block up x it took them 2 years to realise that my ear aches were just not earache I ended up having to go private and I'm on an emergency list for surgery x I've asked for another blood test but the gp won't give me one so I've made a face to face appointment to ask again, I dont know what to suggest because I ain't getting much luck either tbh I'm fed up of being in pain with little answers just you need to wait for surgery and that is it. I'd Deffo get to an opticians just to check out the tear ducts. it could be inflammation tbh where the sinuses are compressing on the nerves if they are inflamed what I have also been told.

sounds like to me you could have dacryocystitis sinuses can cause this and sometimes the pain isn't related to the actual eye its the sinuses backing everything up, I'd also ask gp to re test your bloods because something could be low and it may be contributing to your issues folic acid I.have issues with always having to get it tested if your body is down as well massive chance something has dropped,I constantly harass my gp till.they give me another blood test because they say no and half the time something is low and.i end.up on.tablets for it. sinus issues.is a complications one may be a chance you got chronic issues and therefore it all lingers on and on, dacryocystitis is common on infacts so it goes unrecognised, feel the corner or your eyes and see if it feels swollen or if u see mucas or pus coming out, everytime I've had it I've had to point out the symptoms to a health care professional as they don't consider it as it dont cause eye swelling I you have it chronic its only when it spreads and you get preorbital cellulitis that they notice it x amoxicillin may not be string enough ask them for co amoxiclave 625mg go's won't give them.to you as its s stronger antibiotics may be worth going to.your out of hour gp as they do t check records they just diagnose you there and then x stress can make you feel.worse as your dealing with mental and physical pain so it's a living he'll then. sinuses get trapped it would cause tingling or it could be the congestion, I've seen numerous ENT doctors and most of them ain't been very good tbh Same as you I've had scans done all they keep.saying is the sinuses look fine just congestion, congestion can cause burning and a feeling like someone is pouring salt into.your face, go to an optometrist if I was you also just to get it checked out as if its the sinuses near your eyes that could really effect your eyes and you can end up.with corneal.abrasions then because sinuses back.up and effect the tear ducts x if I was you I.wouod book a private consultation even if you have to go on nhs u will.be seen quicker what I did and it refuced me to.a 5 month waiting list rather than 2 years x

Yes, I have numbness on my face , tongue , tingling, facial pressure , headaches .., vertigo, nosebleeds .. weird menthol feeling/taste in my mouth, but no mucous for 5 months. I have been on antibiotics for a sinus infection for weeks but it doesnt help! . I even had a brain CT scan which was normal. Noone can figure out what it is. I am at my wits end too. 😦

where to start?!

5 weeks ago i started with a headache and thought nothing of it, it then got so pajnful i couldnt think about anything but that. ive feel like someone is pinching the bridge of my nose, it diesnt hurt it just feels uncomfortable.

at first i felt like i had a throbbing headache and theobbing upper gums

i feel as though my vision is weird, im struggling ti focus on things

my muscles feel week and achy especially my legs and arms.

doctors say sinusitis - i had penicillin, presnisilone & plenty of painkillers but nothing helps.

i could go on an on. i think its nerve related as im suffering with sciatica and had a flare uo and since then had tingling and numbness all over my body.

would be interested to hear if anyone found a cure!
