Fake hips - or does my bum look big in this?

Throughout a fairly horrendous last year I never really managed to lose my sense of humour completely.

From the incident with the canula in hospital bathroom that resulted in a scene from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to complaining to my partner in the early post op days that I felt like a beached whale (I looked up to see him dangling a frozen fish fillet above saying "Come on Shamu, you can do it".

One of the funniest things was when a friend and I were both walking with our crutches when we came upon a group of kids playing some kind of war game on a bank. They turned to look at us and we both raised a crutch, primed our weapon and 'shot' them all. They kindly obliged by dying quite dramatically. They ran off after but not before asking where they could get such an awsome weapon!

I wondered if anyone else had some funny stories to share - it's not all doom and gloom is it?
