Remember ur not alone hun I totally sympathise with how u feel I wish they was a cure but until then I need to accept it's anxiety I don't know how 😣 hope u feel better soon feel free to message me xx

laura - just to remind you, cuz it is so easy to forget stuff when anxietyctakes over: 30 mgs prop will slow your heart rate. that's what it does. so i think that's why your heart eate slowed. maybe rethink the 30 mgs a day? i had the same about two months ago. ended in er because i felt lightheaded and ill. it was prop that made me feel that way. i only use it when i feel terribly nervous and a lorazepam won't help.

hello laura im 26 years old guy from pakistan and i have been suffering from the fear of having a heart attack from the past 8 years.i had done my ecg test 8 years ago and it was all fine.i have accepted that its not easy to eliminate the fear that we are facing from our minds but we would be ok if physical symptoms are controlled.like i dont feel much panic or anxious if my body and my heart does not respond to my anxiety.what bothered me the most is the sudden fast pounding of my heart for a second and irregular heartbeats and skipped beats, breath shortness etc.so i visited the doctor and had medicines.Within 20 days i was completely cured from all that "phsycical symptoms" iv explained above. Now after 8 years i am experincing those physical symptoms again and i know why.thats because i didnt visit to the doctor who prescribed me the medicine that made mee free from all the physical symptoms soon after i got cured from them.he asked me to take the medicine for longer period and visit him,but i didnt coz i thought he has done what i wanted so why visit him again.that was my fault.i should have taken the medicine properly and should have visited him again.so im planning to take the medicines again and this time i will do it properly.i want to tell all my buddies suffering from this fear is that " You Wont Die" its all in your head.so just face it with confidence and focus on removing the physical symptoms coz thats what bothers us the most.and ddddddooooooooont worry.i have seen many people suffering from this anxiety from even more than 40 years and they have managed to live thier normal life.stay happy

Hi gina I've had the same as you, its hard 1 week its my heart next week a brain tumour ' all classic anxiety symptoms, try and ignore it or (sacrifice attention ) and accept uncertainty, some things in life we just cannot control, worrying about it makes no difference to the outcome, 1 day at a time, remember you are a strong individual your body is a product of millions of years of evolution build to deal with anything life can throw at it, train your mind with positive thoughts, anxiety will shrivel up and dissappear, hope this helps.

I am exactly the same and it is so scary! I am scared to go places incase I feel ill then I start to panic and I get severe palpitations that' my chest feels like it is gojng to explode and takes my breath away! I take propranolol as and when I need to and it really does help but not with the daily thoughts and feeling scared. It takes over your life and I just want to feel like a normal person again.

You too Gina it's nice to know that you are not alone and a total weirdo.

Just take the propanorol when you feel you need it, or maybe half, on my packet it said 3 a day as and when required so I decided I would get in there first, I took one in the morning, one at lunch and one at tea time, By early evening I must have slowed my heart rate right down and I was going so giddy just sitting down it was like my head was spinning, So I stopped that and felt better not having them all the time

Im 22 also and have pretty much the same exact thing as you. I've dealt with anxiety on and off for years now, but recently it's really halted my life. It's been going on for almost 2 months now. In that time I did see a doctor for a general check up. I told him my symptoms (almost constant chest pain, left arm+shoulder pain, shortness of breath and dizziness) and he took my blood pressure and listened on a stethoscope. Based on those, he said I don't even need an ekg, as my heart sounded strong and my blood pressure was "better than his". At

first I was relieved, but later on that day I started regretting not getting an ekg because I didn't want there to be a chance something was missed. That thought has grown since, and coupled with my symptoms changing slightly, I'm basically back to square one thinking I really do have a problem. It sucks it really does.

But my advice is to maybe try doing something slightly active outside (play fetch with a dog, or toss a frisbee, etc., nothing exhaustive). Just take it slow and you'll no doubt feel your heart rate increase but if you're like me your symptoms won't get worse and will probably diminish with the realization that if you had a heart problem, the symptoms would be getting worse. It's a confidence booster and a way to sort of get on the right track. I've done this before, but have been hesitant to do it again, for fear that THIS time things really are heart related. Just gotta suck it up and take my own advice I suppose.

Best of luck to you though

dont worry.been suffering from this fear from past 8 years.experienced terrible things with my heart but still alive coz its all wrong with our minds.if tests are ok then believe your doctor and dont google random symptoms of heart related issues coz it would boost your anxiety. believe my words if you consider 8 years of experience holds something.
