Patricia, does your blood ever have the muscos elastic stuff with it sometimes when you wipe after a bowel movement?

I have the same thing thats why I was asking!  Mine is blood mixed with the muscos elastic stuf and I have bottom end itching, gooling scares my already chronic panic so not sure you can have that with hemmorriods or not I started reading and got too nervous and quit. Maybe someone here can know if you can have  blood mixed with the muscos elastic stuff with hemmiorriods?

I heard somewhere that mucus is produced normally in the bowel as part of mechanism to ease the passing of stools.  So I always thought mucus with the stools was normal.  Perhaps someone with medical training on this site knows the answer.

I dont thyink so, not to where it mixed with blood either. Most ALL people when they wipe after bowel movement has blood mixed with a pretty good about of muscos with it and  very visible .Can diverticulisi cause naseated feeling even after you have finished your antiblotics like almost 3 weeks ago?

Ask your dr for a Calprotectin test as your symptoms sound like you have Collitis as well as diverticular disease. I do too and I think my Collitis was triggered by the diverticulitis although no one has said so. Muccous and blood are common with Collitis.

I will,  What antiflammatory did they give you? How long do you have to be on it? I already know through ct scan that I have diverticulis wonder why the collitis didnt show up, I the ct scan w/contrast too of ABD and pelvis which showed the lower bowel and colon and organs.

Cottage cheese and sour cream help me to have firm stools.  They both contain digestive enzymes.  Try them and let me know if they work for you.
