I am still waiting for echo and consultation. Started on bisoprolol and new anti coag. Shocked and scared that I've knackered my heart just by being healthy?

The A&E docs found atrial fibrillation and were able to stop it with intravenous drugs?
Or a cardio version. Are you in the UK?

Hi Frances26, I was just like you when I was first diagnosed with AFib back in 2011 So, I and a lot of others on here know only too well what you're going through. I take Bisoprolol 10mg along with Warfarin. I take my meds at night because the Bisoprolol makes me feel tired. Have you been diagnosed with AFib yet?

Not officially, just been seen in A and E. Have echo and then see consultant next week. Still hoping it will go away on its own and I can come off these tablets. Two weeks in and it doesn't seem to be going tho!

Youre still experiencing an arrhythmia? The docs in A&E were not able to put you back into normal sinus rhythm? What tablets are you taking please? A beta blocker?

Try not to worry, even some very famous celebrities have AFib. You'll be fine. Do you find food interfering with your AF?

A big meal feels heavy around the heart but it's early days for me so I haven't a clue what's going on until I have ECHO Wed and follow up. Neen on bisoprolol and apixaban just over 2 weeks now. Woke up with fluttering about to walk 2 miles to pilates class and back. Normally very fit so this is big scarey shock
