Feel unwell and operation tomorrow

Morning everyone

Just need a bit of advice really.  Someone at work has been unwell recently and this last couple of days, I have been suffering with a bit of a cough, cold and sore throat.  I'm really fed up and worried because I am usually quite healthy.  Trust it to be the week of the operation!  Anway, as my left hip revision operation is tomorrow (18th March), do I need to let the hospital know or turn up at my arranged time?  I'd be really grateful for a bit of advice.

I finished work Tuesday, and Wednesday and today is annual leave, so I did well staying in work so long.  I wish I had left work a couple of weeks ago now because maybe I wouldn't have picked up this bug!!  I did mention to the person not to be round me because of having an operation soon (fell on deaf ears)!

Anyway, I also want to say how brilliant this site is and I think you are all wonderful people and doing so well with what you are all going through.  I wish this site had existed when I had my hip resurfacing operations back in 2005 and 2007.  At least now, I feel more prepared and more knowing about things and won't be afraid to speak up if I feel things aren't right!!!

Hope everyone has a good day.  smile

      Hi Lynn

Operation cancelled unfortunately just before I was due to go to theatre due to problem with temperature in theatre (because of valve fault).  I just hope I don't have to wait too long for another appointment.  I'm not going to unpack my bags though.  They can stay on my bedroom floor until I get called back in!!  Hope you're doing well = best wishes. Pammy.
