feeling bit down

Had just got used to having my rthr on 13th July, hubby had sorted works my 3 kids were prepared and had also informed schools etc. Well today I receive a letter to say its been cancelled and wont be done until the 2nd Aug.

My heart goes out to you. Its hard enough preparing yorself practically and emotionally for the op and afterwards. In the past I have seen people go in hospital for other ops andspend a day waiting around in pj's only to be sent home as the op was cancelled. That was in my thoughts on the day of my op. So I felt relieved when they came for me so instead of feeling really frightened I became relieved they were going to do it. I have since found out they don't do that nowadays. They do everything to give you plenty of notice. I understand how you must feel though

I'm glad I was given notice , rather then day before as think that would of been worse but as u say it is very frustrating. More so because everything had been arranged, it wasn't easy for hubby to get time off and sort out 3 children to get to n fro school etc. I'm now hoping that 2nd of Aug goes to plan.
