feeling bit down

Had just got used to having my rthr on 13th July, hubby had sorted works my 3 kids were prepared and had also informed schools etc. Well today I receive a letter to say its been cancelled and wont be done until the 2nd Aug.

    So sorry.Its hard to get yourself set for what is a really big deal just to have it .Your probably sick of hurting and just want to get it over with.I had my left knee replaced last May,my left hip this May and was planning my right hip this August.My left femur head fractured at day 19 after surgery so it is going to take longer to get that 2nd hip done and there are financial repercussions for taking more time off.Sorry for the delay.its hard. Be well

      Hi, your not havin a good time either by the sounds of it, yes I was all prepared well as I can be and it hit me hard, but trying think positive. All going well it be sorted soon enough. Hope you dont have to wait to much longrr

    Oh that is so annoying, no wonder you feel frustrated. But you can rearrange things and it will still be done. Enjoy summer x

      just hoping my husband employer is ok as been hard enough already to get the time off ,

      My heart goes out to you. Its hard enough preparing yorself practically and emotionally for the op and afterwards. In the past I have seen people go in hospital for other ops andspend a day waiting around in pj's only to be sent home as the op was cancelled. That was in my thoughts on the day of my op. So I felt relieved when they came for me so instead of feeling really frightened I became relieved they were going to do it. I have since found out they don't do that nowadays. They do everything to give you plenty of notice. I understand how you must feel though

      I'm glad I was given notice , rather then day before as think that would of been worse but as u say it is very frustrating. More so because everything had been arranged, it wasn't easy for hubby to get time off and sort out 3 children to get to n fro school etc. I'm now hoping that 2nd of Aug goes to plan.
