Feeling Happy

Having been sitting for weeks watching my husband do everything he pop out this afternoon and I got the hoover out.... yes  I have sat here for days thinking can he not see it.... so out he went and I have hoovered through our flat,, and then mopped the kitchen floor....

This acheivement has made me feel so happy I suffer with mild OCD so you can imagine when I see dust and bits I am cringing...  I do not complain as he has been wonderful, and i know I am not a good patient.

Off for a few days as I need to go and see my Consultant who is in Hillingdon, and I am in Eastbourne.   Some may ask "why that far" because my local trust would not operate until I had reached 65yrs old... at 55 I was unable to walk, sleep, sit, without pain.   The consultant is a friend of my daughters and saw me walking at her wedding and told me to get referred to him... thankfully I did and am now getting past the worst of it.

Good luck everyone because this time last week I was in a deep dark tunnel..

Awesome!!! Good for you! Sometimes we just need that OCD to get us off our butts and on our feet doing what we know needs to be done! I am a very independent person and I will struggle to do something rather than ask my husband to help me! I hate asking for help but this THR surgery has made me do some asking for help! My daughter was kind enough to let me stay with her for the first month as she has no stairs in her place and I do inside and out! I was scared to death I was gonna fall! She and my grandson took good care of me and my husband came to visit during the day( he also works nights so my daughter said absolutely not staying home alone) so things worked out! I had to get done physical therapy early! I would go on one day and be sore as hell for the next 3 days and then back to PT again. It ended up every weekend I was in absolute agony from PT so I said no more I will do it my self! And I have!!! I still have nerve numbness on the outside of my hip and on the front of my thigh but getting better all the time!!! Good luck!
