    Hi All,

I too feel this lightheaded dizzy feeling that can be sort of in the background at times, then other times comes out of the blue like a freight train. It frightens me and ramps up my anxiety thus making the symptoms worse. Funny thing is that I had this feeling before diagnoses with DD one and a bit years ago. I have read and do believe this is a by product of the anxiety I have developed about my health. The hormones that are released during these periods of high anxiety have no where to go if you are not running from the lion. The only way I can sort this out in my head is to make special note of when I feel relaxed, happy and not fearful of the future (in between flares now 9) I don't have the dizziness. When I am not in this happy state and anxious I have the dizziness. What I have found helps and I am not an expert at it is to challenge your negative thoughts about our DD struggles and our catastrophizing. I am always thinking that this next flare will be the big one and my guts are going to fall out.

But of course for me until now Its not, it has not happened, its uncomfortable, it effects my life but it passes and I move on. So my advise to you all is do stuff that completely absorbs your attention and check if you have the dizziness. Anyway that's my 2 cents worth hope it might help someone.

Great advice, I to developed chronic anxiety and panic attacks when I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis what a struggle for 5 months now, all diff kinds pills that my body rejected,,made me worse, and I found out a lot of those pills caused more stomach issues. After many stool tests, blood work, Endoscopy, and finally colonoscopy my diagnosis is Severe Diverticulosis with Diverticulitis induced IBS and SIBO. The brain / gut had everything to do with all my symptoms on top of all meds. I was always dizzy lightheaded and Just icky. The brain was out of whack the Vargas nerve And Autonomic Dysfunction. So Ive learned breathing exercises, yoga, mindfulness and the proper vitamins and probiotics to be on to help heal my brain . So my tummy will heal. Along with proper diet. Very challenging but not going to give up , I will beat this! Best wishes and prayers to all who suffer from this disease 🙏🤗

Hi Ellen, how are you doing? Did you have your Cat scan yet? I think we all go through the dizziness and lightheaded feeling due to our diet we have to go on. It’s like fasting the ketostasis  our body goes through, and the anxiety. Messes up the Vagus nerve the mind/ gut thing. I’m 55 now and was healthy on the go active women till this crap hit me 5 months ago. I had a poor diet and not much exercise, was 186 lbs. Now I’m at 143 lbs and a mess, and it’s hard to get past all this, but I keep faith and learn all I can to overcome and get my life back. Just gotta stay positive get my brain back on track and tummy will follow. 🙏🤗🌺🌸keep me posted on how you are doing. I’m on 3rd day of antibiotics for the SIBO and doing ok. Hugs

My car is going out on me also, can’t go over 50 without it shaking, talk about bad timing. I’m seeing my dietitian this morning, hope it’s not a waste of my time. This antibiotics thing is funny, suppose to have diarrhea but I’m having constipation. Weird. Well keep me posted. Have a good day. 🤗🙏🌸
