Feeling scared

Hi guys.

So last night I got a feeling of being detatched.

It got to a point where I panicked about it so much I convinced myself I was going crazy or had psycosis or schizophrenia or something or that I'm going completely mad

It was like a mental panic attack without the physical symptoms. This morning I still feel really odd and detatched and it's really scaring me. What do I do?

Citalopram 20mg for 11 days. A week on 10mg

Second time on citalopram and never felt this the first time. Terrified 😓

Are you feeling any better potatoghost? Detachment is like you mind trying to escape and have some respite from the crippling feelings of fear! It really feels like your anxiety isnt you and so you try to run away by detaching. The fear is yours though, you have to own it, and although its difficult, once you turn around face up to it, embrace it, invite it and love it, it will continue to frighten you. It difficult to do. There is a really good little app called DARE. It helps you to make friends with anxiety. xx
