Feeling sick everyday. is this normal?

Almost time for my ultrasound and as much as I am looking forward to it I can't help but be worried about my body as my symptoms get worse. Aside from losing a LOT of weight, the nausea, breathlessness, and gassy feeling I get everyday all day is really worrying me. Is it normal for gallbladder sufferers to be this sick each and everyday? The only reprieve I get is when I go to sleep but the minute I wake up the symptoms above plus a dull ache on my right abdomen hits me with the full force of a gale wind. Please help. Has this happened to anybody else?

Sorry to hear about your suffering.  As others have said, it will be better after the tests because at least you'll know something.  I suffered for a few months thinking my symptoms were just a bad bout of IBS--I had all the usual GB symptoms but very little pain so it never occurred to me or my GP that my gallbladder was involved.  The scan revealed a big stone but the severity of the disease of the GB wasn't revealed until the surgery.  While it has been a long recovery (my sugery was at the end of Jan.), it was a big relief to know that there was actually something that could be done.  Wishing you and all the others with upcoming tests for the very best results and quick treatment!

Thanks for your response Heidi. I'm praying this will work out alright for me too. Seeing the doc on Tuesday for an ultrasound. Fell ill in November. Was misdiagnosed thrice until a doctor finally figured something was wrong when my cholesterol was high. I'm praying for a miracle

And so I got my results back. Apparently it's all clear; even the blood tests showed no problems. I am not going to drag this out. Just going to live as healthily as I can. Thanks for all of your support everyone.

Hello Tamsyn smile i just came across your thread here... I hope you will see this msg. Don't lose heart. Don't give up seeking the cause of your illness. It took me over 3 months with numerous specialists, tests, and misdiagnosis' to get here. I too had all my tests (including gallbladder) come back fine... But i wasn't fine. I wound up in emergency surgery 10 days ago to remove my gallbladder which had no stones but was full of sludge and very sick. Surgeon said probably had a stone once which messed it up is why. I too had symptoms of not being able to breathe, nausea, weight loss, lightheadedness, and stomach pains with a feeling like a tennis ball stuffed under my right ribcage and around to my back. Then 3 days before going to ER i started vomiting with diarrhea. I couldn't stop. They finally took it hoping it was the problem. Turns out i did have a sick gallbladder and stress gastritis (from being so sick and confirmed by an endoscopy). I am now healing but still weak. Don't give up. You know your body best and you know if something is wrong. Never give up fighting for your health... even if you have the throw up on their shoes! I did wink
