Surely you must have been given advice on what to do after this surgery?. You should be non weight bearing with crutches for 6 weeks and should also have xrays to check on healing.You may also need physiotherapy to get you walking again after 6 weeks. If you are in UK you should have an appointment in a hospital fracture clinic.
