Felt "Pop" in my head...haven't felt right sense

Hi guys.

Ok....so about 10 day ago, I was sitting at my kid's band camp meeting.

All of a sudden, I felt a "pop" in my head. The left uper side of my head to be exact. Feaked me ou!

I didn't feel any kind of "warm sensation" like blood pouring over my brain, or, any type of "fizzle" afterwards. It mostly just freaked me out, and then I started to "not feel right". So I sat there waiting for something bad to happen, but hoping it wouldn't!

Then, a few minutes later, another "pop" in my head around the same area. Started to REALLY freak out then! I was sure I was a goner!

I emediately got up and went to the car and we left and came home.

I laid down and tried to sleep it off.

Sense then, I've been having that "not right" feeing in my head.

Slight headache that seems to constantly come and go, even with taking Ibuprohpen. I can't seem to shake it, and the feeling of "not feeling right" seems to be permanent, and won't go away.

I fear it could be a brain tumor, or something, starting to show itseflf.

I plan to go to the Dr tomorrow to try and get him to send me for a CT scan or something.

So, to sum this up....

*2 "pops" in my upper left head.

*Slight come and go constant headache.

*Constant "something's not right" feeling.

Thank you!!

Ricky

So the same exact thing happened to me about a year and a half ago. A sudden pop and warm oozing sensation across my brain, and this happened a few times. Still to this day I haven't felt right. I have been having other unrelated health issues that i thought maybe could be the reason for this uneasy "not right" feeling but it just feels like there's something more. I just dont know how to approach it

hey hey hope you're well, just curious if you've gotten any headway on this. I felt a pop one night Feb 2020 and have yet to feel any sense of normality. at first any stress would send my body into a panic and then I would have stabbing pain headaches. I'm stuck in this sense that something is wrong. no basic blood test have shown anything and nothing in my gut has come up. I had a bad bought of Guardia in May 2019 but other than that... very active and healthy individual. having a hard time coping with this hanging over me. I'm in Canada so any doctor I see tend to just blanket me in with the masses. we tried Lexapro for 8 months and all it did was just make me more apathetic. anyways.. following this feed hoping its just my thyroid or something.

hey , so I had something similar.

so while my reason for being in the emergency room was for cardiac issues while I was hooked up to all the machines I started laughing uncontrollably, chest burning , trouble breathing and speaking. broke out in sweat and all my numbers were sky high ... while all this was going on. I felt one very distinctive pop like a pimple was being popped inside my head. felt like tingling going across my forehead 360 degrees . they actually ran ct scan , mri and xrays , blod and everything to figure out what it was. nothing was ever resolved that happened on July 1 2022 . just wanted to share because it was extremely rare to have something happen with 10 medical professionals there and to have machines monitoring me also . hope you are ok

Found this post after experiencing this again. I had a pop in the right side of my head about three years ago. Afterwards I had a bad headache. The headache came and went over the next few months. No other symptoms. Eventually the headaches stopped. Over the next couple of years, I would get a smaller popping sensation, in the same area of my head, right behind the right temple. A headache followed but not lasting as long as the first time I experienced the problem. I decided to see a doctor and was told it was nothing. Now, after not having this for about a year, I had a pretty bad pop again, same area. This time I am experiencing tingling near my right eye and in my upper cheek. Almost a numbing sensation. Anyone had any accurate diagnosis's concerning this problem?

This is an old post but wanted to share my experience as it may help someone. Had a similar experience. I also heard a pop in my head. Then shortly after, I had tinnitus, fluid in my ears, severe hyperacusis ( sound sensitivity), a very loud hissing noise in my head, my ears reacted to every sound. My ears were in pain almost all the time and there was a weird pulling sensation in my ears in addition to the pain.

Doctors were of no help. After some research, I discovered I may have had a CSF leak, and that the fluid was draining into my ears from my brain. the pop I heard my have been the dura of the brain tearing. After the tear then the fluid began to leak in my ears causing weird symptoms in my ears and head. You may not know you have fluid in your ears behind your eardrums, unless someone looks in your ears. the fluid may also be pooling in your sinuses, leaking out of your spinal cord, or other parts of your brain. if left untreated it can cause inflammation of the brain, or meningitis, which will also cause symptoms. sometimes the tear may heal itself.

i never had treatment for it, as it took 2 years to figure this out and by then symptoms had already subsided. seems like the tear healed itself.

Tumours can also cause a CSF leak, as the growth puts pressure on the dura. Doing strenous activities can also put pressure on the dura and facilitate the leak.

For the ringing in the ears, the only thing that seemed to work temporarily were corticosteroids. Also took lots of vitamins and antioxidants.

The ringing in the ears and other symptoms have stopped now, took about 2 years for that to happen.

hi! this sounds very similar to what I had years ago. I felt a distinct pop in the front of my forehead right in the center. Immediately after feeling the pop, I’ve got a headache and woosh of dizziness. I laid down and took some aspirin. I did not call the doctor but I felt it was an aneurysm popping. Two weeks later I did go to a doctor, but he said it wasn’t an aneurysm popping. I have no idea what else it could’ve been. I did not feel the same for about 12 months and I still don’t really completely feel the same and this was back in 2011. Now I noticed that when I get very tired, I also get very dizzy and have to sit down. Also, my eyesight gets very blurry in one eye when I am very fatigued. I wonder if this sounds anything like what you described you had?

Hi! I am new to the discussion, but I wanted to share my experience. I’ve had the same pop in my head that you describe only it was in the very front of my forehead, and it felt like a rubber band pop on it. What is this what you felt also? I was wondering if you were ever able to get a diagnosis. I thought it was an aneurysm but the doctor didn’t feel it was. I did not feel right for about 10 months afterwards and it took me a year to get back into my normal routine. I hope you are doing OK now.
