Fev

My husband has copd - he went for a check up today and his Fev was 0.74 - two years ago it was 1.24.  I know his copd is very severe, but does anyone know what this means.

Sorry Nanny can't help you with your initial question but I think the medical diary is an excellent idea.  As time goes by it is too easy to forget this, that and the other and when you're on different meds it can get even more confusing.  Was I alright when I was on this before I started that? Damn I can't remember!  I was recently prescribed a drug from my neuro (another condition) which made me very unwell.  It was my daughter that pointed out that I'd had these drugs before, sometime ago, and had the same problems.  Of course the neuro shouldn't have prescribed them at all as he'd prescribed them before and been informed of the side effects but you have to take control yourself, don't you.  So from now on I think I shall be keeping a medical diary lol.  Take care.
