Fevers of unknown origin for 2 months

At first I thought I was coming down with a illness of some sort. Two weeks of fevers, chills and sweats, fatigue, and extreme tiredness no other symptoms made me start fearing the worst. My husband started nagging me to go get checked out after two months of constant fevers. went to the er. They could find nothing wrong. They tested me for hiv, AIDS, hepatitis, and mono, all negative,  they also did tests for bladder , kidney, uti, infections, those were all negative.  My cbc was determined normal. A few days later I had appointment with my familydoctor. Told him about thee fevers ranging 99-102 degrees f,  chills and sweats. He was baffled. My red blood count was normal as well as the white. He decided to do a sed rate. The sed rate read as 12 mm/hr.  So that was normal.  A lot of cancers and auto immune diseases run prevalent throughout my family.  So I am beginning to get worried.  He put me on a two week course of antibiotics with a cbc after one week of antibiotics. Duracef is the antibiotic. The Cbc along with urinalysis is showing abnormal now. My red blood cell and my white blood cell are normal but have dropped to the bare minimum of what's Normal.  My urine creatinine is low.  Amylase and lipase are high now. And my urine urobilinogen is very high. My chest X-ray was clear.  I have been having high abdominal pain that radiates through my back. Does any one have any idea or clues that may be wrong that I should bring up to Doctor?  I'm I'm going on three months of fevers and becoming very exhausted!

Sounds like you have anemia. Try vitamin B-12, iron, and a multi-vitamin.

My rbc is normal though. It is 4.53 mil/ cm. but this may explain the urobilinogen at 2.0 eu/ dl

Hi, You have alot to deal with at one time. I can understand getting depressed. Its hard to deal with all of this and wonder what's going on. It is exhausting and takes its toll. The unknown is scary. I'm sorrow you have to go through all these tests. Just have faith tat the doctors will find the problem. It hard going from one specialist to another and still not getting an answer. I suffered with really bad dry mouth and eyes. I couldn't get enough to drink. My lips would burn so bad and I now have scars on the corners of my mouth. I was constantly putting drops in my eyes. I was eventually diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome. I suffer from fatigue that is so difficult to deal with. It can't even be explained. My doctor tells me to listen to my body. So I some days just do nothing. My arms are week. My legs just hurt so bad. Its hard to walk. I hope the doctors can figure out what you are suffering with soon. Just hang in there. I am sending prayers. Its hard to deal with this when you are suffering so badly. I know. God bless you and let me know about you doctor appointment.

Had a lot happen.  Went to er last week, my husband thought I was having a stroke. The face burning came back but this time my left eye and corner of my mouth went numb and paralyzed. Now seeing a new dr. I am getting a Mri done on my head tmr. She is thinking Lyme disease, heavy metal poisoning, or a severe case of ms. Lupus and auto immune was ruled out with a negative Ana. Another problem arrised with my kidneys. Apparently they have been malfunctioning and washing away all my sodium, magnesium, and electrolytes. So another battalion of blood and urine tests as well tomorrow. Good news Thursday I should have some idea on direction this is all heading. At least now I have some hope that we are going some where and each day brings me closer to what I want more than anything. A answer.

Hopefully you get your diagnosis! I'm sorry you have had to go through all you have gone through though! I still don't have a diagnosis either. Seeing a rheumatologist in three weeks. Neuro doctor gave me gabapentin for nerve pain, but I'm going to wean off them, don't like the side effects. Let me know what your testing finds. You are in my thoughts!
