I am 41 and have fibroids. each time I'm asked if I'm pregnant due to my bloated belly. I have made diet changes but the stomach is still there. The Dr recommends surgery and I want to avoid having a hysterectomy. please help what other options are there in Canada for large fibroids

I'm in The U.S. I had a myomectomy in December. The doctor was able to get all the fibroids out and save my uterus, so I'll still be able to have kids. I'm sure the same option is probably available to you. The best thing is to ask your doctor. Your treatment will depend on the size and severity of the fibroids.

find a dr who can perform a myomectomy to remove the fibroids & save your uterus. Not all doctors are capable of this surgery so find one who can. I had 2 docs who told me i would need hysterectomy. I had a myomectomy last july in Australia, 19 fibroids were removed
