So after having another ultrasound lastweek which showed a stone and a thickened wall i rang the gasto yesterday and he called back today and has agreed to put me in for surgery eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk! I'm not sure if he ever listened to me though as he said we don't normally take them out unless they are causing symptoms but I told him in June, Aug and Oct that i have a constant nagging pain in my flank and ribs since Jan that gets worse after eating, upper back pain that gets worse after eating since March, nausea 24/7, dark urine and light stools since March. On top of everything i've lost 8 stone.
I have had a few more symptoms in the last few months of constant gurgling in my stomach that sometimes causes a lot of fa#ting but mainly comes up through my throat and make a horrid sound, night sweats and dizzines. Can anybody relate?
I was also told that my GP will be written to and told to refer me to the the surgeon and i will have an appt with him and sort out date. Is this how it worked for everyone else in the UK?
Many Thanks

Ok tips for you all that are helping me. Ginger tea, or just ginger pills, help greatly with naseau. Tylenol extra strength every now and then for odd pains. Dizziness will go away after about 4-6 weeks. I was pretty emotional also for first 4 weeks but better now thank goodness. Eating yogurt helps also as well as toast. Heating pad on incisions and back help big time. Drinking tons of fluids always helps, especially water. And teas, green, ginger, camomile, lemon etc. Protiens help to heal faster. Everyone is different so try things out for yourself and see what works for you.

So got an appt letter yesterday to go to see the surgeon 28/2 and got another letter today cancelling it! What an absolute pathetic joke of a non service! Thanks Mr NHS! This has all been a total F#CK up from the start and i've only just got past the start!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but, 11 weeks after my surgery already and mylanta is now a staple food. I still have pains in upper abdomen, under left breast and can't hardly eat anything. Doctors just tell me to keep doing what I am doing. I've taken antibiotics galore and still not well. Good luck with everything. This is some dreadful bs. Hope you have better luck than me!
