Hi it's my first day of orlistat and I am suffering a terrible headache, is this a possible side effect?

I am really looking forward to seeing how I get on with my weight loss

If anyone one has any snack or meal ideas I would really appreciate it and I would love to hear everyone's stories xxxxxx

Well done both of you, it's a nice feeling when clothes fit again or are too big. I've now lost 66 lbs and gone from a size 24 to a comfortable 16. It's taken a year and I still need to loose nearly the same again but I've never managed to loose like it before. I go to weight watchers as well and find this helps me to focus. My only worry is that my doctor will stop giving me prescriptions as she said at the start she was only allowed to give me the tablets for a year. It hasn't come to that yet though and hopefully it won't be an issue. Keep going all it is possible from someone who is now only half as fat as they were.

Wow well done all of you.

I'm a little concerned the tablets arnt working for me is that possible ?

I have eaten for 1 wk less than 1200 calories a day and also less than 15g of fat per meal and no more than 30g in a day. The first week I lost 2lb . Spoke to gp and she said u could loose 2lb just by cutting down like I have without the tablets. I have joined slimming world to keep track of my weight and the weight in consultant said the same 2lb with how good I've been should be easy even without tablets.

Is it possible I'm not eating enough or do they just take time to work.

I've had no side effects atall nothing ?

WOW!!! Well done Jo!! That's an amazing loss bet you feel like a new person ?

Have you much to loose Clair? As I know the closer you are to target weigh the slower it comes off.

You doing it right if you aren't getting side effects. 2lb a week in a year that's 8 stone! I know you're probably feeling fed up and expecting more but stick with itsmile

Lovebforb - thats a brilliant loss, well done!! Very inspirational to me.

Ive been on them for a day, and no headaches or other side effects others have noted. I have had really vivid weird dreams. Has anyone else had this?

Hi Clair, I am in the same sort boat, I only lost just over a pound in my first week and am thinking I could have

done that with out the pills! I have had no side effects either, but am sticking with it for the 3 months

prescribed to me and see what happens.

But at least it's a loss and am feeling really good for eating so healthy!! 😊

Hi, im just wondering on your opinions to whether I should go back on the orlistat. I went on them last summer for about 5/6 months andlost 3stone in that time. I have kept it off and have now lost a further stone... the thing is I just remeber the stomach cramps/smelly farts and not having a life as I was too scared to eat out! I need to lose like another 3/4stone! I eat healthy and train really hard yet I havent lost anything for the last couple months! Do you think this will be the boost I need? Thanks guys x

Personally I would but I haven't suffered any symptoms you have done very well so maybe it will help xx

Have u still been eating the same diet you were on when you were on the tablets xx

I still go out for meals I even have macdonalds now and again I just pick healthier options x

Same here becca, only time I had cramps is when I've eaten something too high in fat!

Are you counting calories? I was shocked at the amount in something I thought were healthy.

U ok becca? I had a bit if a wobble at the weekend but back on track now as I really wanna loose on thur. You having a good week? X

Ive changed my diet slightly and have hardly any carbs now, 1300calories, basically chicken/fish and salad! Even breakfast sad. I didnt get really bad side effects but they were bad enough! I still have a couple months ofthe pills at home so maybe ill give it a go?

When you have a cheat do you just not have a pill? X

Even if you cheat they stay in your system so be carful. I had a Sunday lunch out so didn't take a tablet and that's my only time I was pooing oil! It was grim so be warned lol.

Okay thanks, if you don't mind me asking - how long have you been on the pills for? Would you recommend them? I just dont know if more exercise and cutting back on food will give me the same results? I was 19.5 stone last year and im currently just under 16. I want to be 12 by next summer! X
