Just says it can prevent absorption of the thyroxine? Have you had any trouble with your levels since being

    On orlistat ? Xx

I've been put on so many things recently I think I'm falling apart x

I haven't had my levels checked since being on orlistat. Been on orlistat for 6 weeks now and now that you have mentioned this, I've been more lethargic than usual so there could be some truth in that. Have you felt a difference?

    Hiya ,

I have been on thyroxine only a month and was prescribed orlistat today. I was asking about when was best

To take them in the morning because of reading about the 4 hrs between them that people and sites advise.

How are you finding orlistat ? Had much success being on thyroxine too?

    Xx

I've lost about 8lbs in 6 weeks on orlistat. Haven't been able to shift a pound without them but eating and exercising exactly the same. I have about another 2 stone to lose. It's going to take a while but I'm determined x

Good luck Hun. I have just taken my first one of these little blue pills after having some cereal.

Really want to see some results as I'm so depressed with it all. I'd be ok it I was 6 foot unfortunatly I'm only 5ft lol. I want to loose 2 stone in total. So fingers crossed I get some results from them. I have a months supply before I have to return to the doctor.

Do you all weigh in a slimming club to keep track and for food tips or just do it at home ?

    Xx

Hi Clair, I'm on my 3rd wk and was worried of all the side effects but as long as you stick to the fat rule you'll be just fine. I joined rosemary Conley class as her diet is based on 5% fat or less so its good to follow. I lost 7.5lb in my 1st two weeks. Really hoping I can do the same for the next two weeks to get my stonesmile

I want to loose about 5 stone which is a huge mountain to climb!! I'm 5ft 10 and a size 18 but I'd love to be back in a 12 again like I was a couple of years back. It's going to be hard work but I really need to do this as it effects where I want to go and what I do.

This forums great as nobody knows how you feel unless you are over weight, my fella has a 32 waist and says eat less! God if it was that easy!! He gets bored of eating and says wish he could take a pill to take the hunger away! I love my food, that's the problem! But since taking the pills I think do I want that baked Camembert ( I looovvvveeeee cheese ) 🐭🐭🐭🐭 or do I wanna be slim! I wanna be slim smile with the will power and help if the pills we can all do itsmile wish you loads of luck, let us know how you're getting on. X

I'm also on 150mg. Put on 3 stone since I've been diagnosed with under active thyroid. I'm not due to get my levels checked till January. I take my thyroxine first thing in morning, then my orlistat about half an hour later with breakfast. X

    Hi ladies,

I have been on orlistat for 7 days now. I weighed myself today and I have lost 5 lbs . smile I have been petrified of the tablets in case of an episode happening

    .

I am a major sweet fan, biscuit with every cup of tea . Chocolate after dinner . Binge at night time. Sometimes I even got up for the bathroom during the night . Then I would raid the fridge for more Chocolate .

Well I have managed NO biscuits, sweets and cakes this week . I can't believe the will power I have found to do it this time. This forum has helped to stay strong , as I know I am not alone in this journey.

I had reached my gutter 8 days ago and to be honest I could have ended it all. I had gotten so low with being obese . I hated myself so much . The trip to the doctors was my last chance. I asked for a gastric band and was given the blue pills . The fear factor has worked a treat.

Normally when I give up Chocolate in the past . I would have terrible withdrawals. This week I haven't had them. Yesterday I had a terrible notion for chocolate and a curry. . I took an hour at a time . Got through it today is a new day.

I want to beat this affliction and feel more confident with myself instead of society making me feel worthless. I feel a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders since starting orlistat . May it continue .

Lots of strength sent to everyone on this journey . You are worth it xx keep strong . One day at a time xxxxx smile
