First Walk

hi fellow hippies
my surgeon has let me out of bed and I tried to walk. I walked round my bed and sat in the chair on the other side. Like everything else the chair was not high enough so was uncomfortable to sit in. I was in really bad pain because. This hip feels so different to the last one. I do know that I have to take into concideration that my leg will be using muscle it hasn't used for years. I also have to take into concideration that my hip deteriorate so much. But the way he did the op is no different than when he did my right one. But to err on the side of caution. I am to wear a brace for 6 weeks once it arrives. I'm so glad I had my left hip done first because this has helped me cope a little more and it is almost as strong as the original leg. The pain is intense and nothing at the moment is helping with it. So they have upped my oramorph to 15 mil to try and make me comfortable. This just goes to prove no two legs are the same on anyone. I hope this pain will subside given time but right now I feel like my right leg has been chopped off not replaced. Things I know will settle down. I am just disappointed they didn't go the same way as before.

well no I shouldn't. This place has changed so much since last time. I hardly know any of the staff so can't relate to them. And a lot of the time the ones I do know. Are hardly hear one or two day shifts per week
i have asked to see my surgeon on Monday I know he will be here and I know I can talk to him in private away from anyone. I am going to tell him what is going on with my care and see if he can say anything too.
It it is getting to the stage where my other 1/2 will just grab a chair come and get me out of here if I done start getting proper care.

i did not feel too good earlier my blood pressure was high and the meds they put me on made me feel ill. But now they have been stopped and there out of my system and I will be going back to the tablets I had last time which I had not pain at all on I think I will be fine. Just seen my registra and he said I can drop the morphine time delay tablets ( thank god I hated the side effects ) and go for the meds I had last time which was co- codamol and oramorph and I was totally pain free on those so why did they keep me on meds I was having so many bad side effects from beats me and just put me on meds I knew worked? I hate feeling like I have no control of what is happening to me and no one will listen. I said on my first day can you get me off these meds and put me on theses? Now I have my wish because I am actually being listened too at last I won't throw a party yet but I am getting there at last. That I'll fuzzy horrid feeling when your body is saying what the heck did you take I don't like this is going and I feel more like myself that a robot zombie.
I was was just wondering if anyone out there has ever been stuck on a multi bed ward with someone with a voice so irritating and wanting to be centre of attention all the time you just want to go over there and slap them? I have one of those and it is doing my head in. She even has the cheek to smoke her e cig in the ward. She donated a TV to the bay I am in and thinks she can get away with anything. Every time I move. Every time I almost breath there is a constant nagging come try from her she is so close to getting it I don't know how to get away from it

Only sport for me has been motor racing (I used to mechanic on track, and for RAC rally), and motorbikes (hence the name, we had a Triumph Rocket III).
Breaking a nail can worry me, I use them to hold things I'm mending, I never wore a skirt either(!), but I do have a pink shirt.
Yep, I can understand that you really do have very little in common with them.

Ahh yeah the old triumph rocket. My first bike was the original Kawasaki z750 in metallic green.
I use use hair grips for holding things better than hitting your thumb with a hammer can be very painful.
I am into the car street racing, TT, F1 (although I find it rather boring since they changed everything ) rally. Some parts of the Welsh rally are not far from where I live. Motorbikes ( although to many idiots on the road these days to enjoy it any more ) And my dogs of course. ( who beleive it or not have a convo on the phone with me every night since I have been here. The nurses think it's hilariouse. I won't comment on the shirt
yeah nothing at at all in common with them.
