Sounds crazy but I received lots of relief from tin act in athletes foot cream. Active ingredient is "tolnaftate". Fights bacteria I believe. I found sometimes when my fissure would be on fire I thought it could have been from the lack of cleanliness and bacteria getting into an open wound. I received BIG help

Hello
Thank you for your advice
Yes the fissure is chronic although not of a long duration....9 /10 weeks
I don't have the option of surgery at this point as consultant wants to see if the botox is successful first....Will be seeing him in approx 4 weeks
I am incontinent after the botox so very worried that the surgery will leave me permanently incontinent

I also had LIS. June 22 2016. Only got better from that day on. Over a year and a half now and I've had a few abrasive BMs and not one single problem. Actually had a friend ask about it last night haha. Never off my mind though. I go to the bathroom every day (maybe 3 days a year I don't go at least once) sometimes twice a day and think about it every time. So thankful. My life was a roller coaster for 12 years

That's brilliant news ?👍
I am really concerned that if I did have to have LIS I would be one of the 15% left permanently incontinent as rhe botox has left me incontinent ?
