Front Neck pain?

The last two days I’ve had sore neck muscles in the front of my neck! Is that normal? Idk why sad is it from being super tense from all my anxiety maybe? Maybe I slept wrong or I clench my teeth too much? I keep fearing lymphoma!! That’s my biggest health anxiety. I do not feel lumps tho...

I've had neck pain from anxiety before caused by tension. One time it was also down to strep throat but I felt pain swallowing too, sore throat and felt ill and another time tonsillitis, again sore throat, so if it persists or gets worse check in with your Dr. However just keep in mind that just because you feel pain doesn't mean it's lymphoma. As in my case, I worried too and when it was something other than anxiety it was cleared up super easy with a round of antibiotics. Xx

I sorta have a sore throat for a week now but it’s for sure not strep or anything that bad, maybe allergies? Idk. I do the mistake of googling my symptoms and then freaking out that I’m dying D: silly I know but that’s how bad my anxiety has been. I just woke up with my neck sore. I’m praying I slept wrong on it.

Yeah I use to do that too and honestly it feeds the cycle. Step one to managing your health anxiety is to cut out Google. And remove any health apps or symptom finder etc.

I've literally had neck pain that just disappeared but that I had for 3 weeks prior. And I've woke up in the middle of the night feeling like my neck was being squeezed in a vice. It's amazing how much we can tense up without evening realising it. Xx

    Google pharyngeal spasm or globus

I had this a lot and had lots of tests in hospital and was diagnosed with pharygeal spasm by two different consultants.

Basically it is another side effect of Anxiety, the anxiety causes the throat muscles to tighten which feeds the anxiety which tightens the muscles etc etc.

Get checked out by your doc if you dont feel confident...

I am experiencing muscle tension in my neck area again from anxiety. I had this last year, lasted about a month or 2 then went away, but it's back again -__- It hurts most in the front of my neck and in my jaw area, like under my chin and jaw line. The muscles get sooo tight and sore it's so uncomfortable =/ I know it is anxiety related though since I've had this before when I was anxious and it eventually went away.

Btw I I also suffer from the lymphoma health anxiety... but thats bc I've had swollen lymph nodes in my head/neck for almost a year now with no cause known. The Drs I've seen think it's acne related bc when I get a bad breakout on my face they all flare up again. So weird -_- I just wish they'd go away!! -_-

Ughhhhh thank god im not the only one 🙏🏼😭 yeah it just happened when I woke up the other day my front neck felt sore and I got so scared. I check my lymph nodes every single day out of fear. I wish I never googled because now I have that frickin lymphoma fear!! I’m praying it goes away soon. Anxiety causes so many awful symptoms

I really would not worry about lymphoma just bc of your neck muscles being sore. If it had to do with your lymph nodes they would be visibly swollen and you'd feel them swollen there too! It's def just your muscles that are tense/sore and causing the pain. Unless you suddenly see a big swollen bump there, it sounds like your neck pain has nothing to do with your nodes =)
