Frozen Shoulder

I'm so glad I've discovered this online tonight! I've had a frozen shoulder since April after knocking my shoulder whilst in work on a fire door! The last 5 months have been pure torture!! I honestly thought I must be a baby with the amount of tears I've shed the last 5 months, until I went so see a shoulder specialist and he told me that a frozen shoulder was the most painful shoulder injury ever! Had my injection a week today and praying it works!! Can't sleep and the pain is 24/7 and having tremors in my right arm when I try and raise it!

Hi Elizabeth,
It will get better. It will just take time. When I had mine, I remember bumping into a gas station door and it taking my breath away, it hurt so much. Mine was inflamed for so long. Once it started waking up, it took a while, too. It was hard to sleep and hard to find relief. I think it was frozen for about 9 months and then it took another 9 to get all the way back to pretty normal. It was quite debilitating - couldn't lift things, could pull an electric plug out of the wall.
Just wanted to let you know that there is hope....it's only been about 2-3 months that I feel just about back to normal!

I'm like you Elizabeth! Thought I was alone in my misery until I found these forums! I'm off to buy a v shaped pillow as a read on one of the other discussions it might help get into a vaguely comfortable sleeping position. I'm so exhausted from the 24/7 pain and lack of sleep I burst into tears at the slightest thing! I'm sure people around me think I'm going mental.......😜

Aww it's awful isn't it! Can't believe how many suffer so much with it! I'm going into day 10 after my 2nd injection, and some days I feel a little better, then do to much, then bang I'm back to square one! I hope the V pillow works for you! I'm fed up of crying everyday and saying how stupid my arm is lol!
