Frozen Shoulder

I'm so glad I've discovered this online tonight! I've had a frozen shoulder since April after knocking my shoulder whilst in work on a fire door! The last 5 months have been pure torture!! I honestly thought I must be a baby with the amount of tears I've shed the last 5 months, until I went so see a shoulder specialist and he told me that a frozen shoulder was the most painful shoulder injury ever! Had my injection a week today and praying it works!! Can't sleep and the pain is 24/7 and having tremors in my right arm when I try and raise it!

I bought mine from lloyds Pharmacy. They have good ones in Boots and Asda pharmacy as well so there's lots of choice. Mine has just 2 pads as they are quite big, it was £11.99. This is only helpful if you are in the UK I suppose!

I can't find the model number but it's the digital tens pain reliever single channel. It's on their website as well. I didn't check with my GP although it does say on it who shouldn't use it for example if you are pregnant, diabetic, epileptic etc

The specialist told to use what made me feel comfortable, and I can't see a problem with a tens machine.

My routine is hot bath (although I've nearly got stuck in there a couple times trying to get out!) massage with some oil the nice acupuncture man gave me (the acupuncture didn't work but the oil is nice) wheat bag for 10 minutes or so then plug myself into my tens machine. All in the hope I can manage more than an hour of sleep! I was told by someone who is trained in injury therapies that you need to use a tens machine for about 3 hours to have an effect. I sometimes manage to get to sleep after an hour or 2 of using it

Bath and hot water bottles 3/4 times refilling through the night! The lack of sleep is draining too. I hope you'll be better soon Jo.
