FS again!!.......

Hi everyone. Hope you're all well and not in too much pain (you more than likely are though). Fantastic news about Kerri x.

Can I ask if any of you have become a bit of a hermit?? I only go out to take my son to school, but it's a feat!!!! I feel exhausted and irritable all the time. Sometimes I feel so sick from pain, that in itself

Makes me not want to go out in case I feel sick and actually unwell. Like the last couple of days have been awful, hence not been on here much. Makes my ache more typing!! Do any of you feel unwell sometimes with it all??

I feel terrible moaning like this as listening about the plane crash, seems wrong.

Thank you x

    Hi Mel,

I felt just like you do.  I would hobble out of bed, struggle to get my ten year old to school, still in my pyjamas, in a hideous poncho and a bobble hat to hide the unwashed fuzz on my head!  The effort to achieve even this was Herculean.  I would then hobble around the house, drugged up on nurofen and galaxy chocolate till it was time to collect her again, throw a ready meal in the micro (all I could manage) go to bed and start all over again.

I think this horrible thing makes you feel and look unwell.  After the op my friends told me that I was looking more like my old self as before they could see the 'illness' in my face.

As far as the moaning goes, you have to moan, its the only pleasure we have, you just have to!

Things do get better, rest assured, you will get beyond it and all this will be a distant memory.  I am 5 weeks post op and though physio is 'hell' am feeling much better.

Hope you feel better soon  xxxx

Hi Cheryl. Thank you so much. I feel so much reassured. I live in pyjama bottoms as its too hard to wear anything else!!! Feel like a slob!!! I'm getting pains in my other shoulder now. It's driving me insane. Starting to get headaches as well. I'm so pleased you are getting well, albeit slowly.

Did you feel more tired than normal too?? I want to sleep all day and don't go to bed till late, as it's uncomfortable.

They won't do anything until I've had my scan.

      Thank you again Cheryl. Xxx

      Hi Mel,

I got symptoms of it in my other arm too, the docs told me it was probably just tired having to compensate for the frozen one, but my otho surgeon took me seriously and did an athroscopic release on the frozen one and a mua with injection on the other one.  I am now busy in physio trying to address both in the hope that I will knock out both.  It is hard work, but as I said before I am progressing well.  I have no idea if the other arm will freeze but I am fighting hard to prevent it.  If it does I am heading straight for surgery I cant go through months of agony again.

I still get headaches and neck ache and am knackered, but so much better than before. Its a hard battle Mel isnt it, but we will win.

Once you get your scan hopefully you will have a clearer view on how to proceed, unfortunately, it seems like our only options are mua, keyhole, or wait it out.  Hope you get your answers soon.

Thank you for your reassurance!! My neck is painful. That's were it all started last September. My other shoulder is having twinges that are getting stronger. It's all madness!!

The sick feeling is horrible. I just have to lay on the sofa or something. It does feel like your banging your head against a brick wall were medical profession is concerned though. Xx

Hiya Mel, awwww I wondered where you had gone to sad

Yes yes I have become a hermit sad  Because I can't drive still (not been able to since end last October) I feel I have lost my independence sad  Physio said on tuesday that I still haven't got the movement back to be able to drive sad  I so so feel for you huni - & you now say that your other shoulder is starting to show signs of this awful condition sad  Do you know Mel I even contemplated suicide when the pain was at its worse so I do understand how you feel sad

I also find it such a chore to get washed & dressed - so so depressing sad  But don't worry I am ok!!!!! Don't panic I came to my senses!!!!!! I remember breaking down one day to my husband saying nothing nothing stops this awful pain - and with little or no sleep its torture!!!!! Until you have FS no one know's how bad it gets.......... Please don't say you get fed up repeating how bad you feel - its much better for you to tell us so we can support you ............ It helps to share symptons huni smile

You should get your bloods tested to check on your thyroid as sometimes this can cause FS - diabetes is another as someone on here has mentioned.......... Chin up my friend it will get better - slowly but it does smile Sending hugs & loves xxx

Hi Linda. Thank you for being so honest with me I can completely understand. It drives you crazy, and you can't do much, which in turn leads to not wanting to do anything!!!

      Yes I cry a lot!!!

I asked someone yesterday if it feels like someone or something is putting pressure or pushing painfully down on their shoulders. Does that happen to you? Does it affect your hand(s)?

      Thank you again Linda. Xxx

Morning Mel. What are we all like eh? lol - but it just shows how v bad this condition is.........

Yes I get pins and needles in my hands and some fingers - my shoulder feels like I'm carrying a hundred weight on it!! I only said to my husband yesterday that it feels like I've been carrying a hundred paving stones (not that I ever had!) that's what the sensation felt like to me! Actually yesterday quite by accident my husband bashed the top of my shoulder - I couldn't get my breath and literally saw stars! He was devastated that he had caused me so much pain! Took me a few hours to recover!!

Sooooo its Kerri 's surgery today - she should be home now!

Its brilliant how much support this site has/is giving............

Hope you have a pleasent day today huni, do hope you manage to cope with the pain! Am always thinking of everyone! Big hugs xxxxx

It's how my shoulder feels. A huge painful pressure. It's strange, but it's moving across to other side. What's that mean and why?!!!

Yes my partner touched, literally touched a point on my shoulder and it hurt so much.

Funny enough when I saw the specialist couple of weeks ago, she was touching and prodding etc, and she got that same spot and I shouted at her and swore!!!! My daughter (16) was with me and said she thought I was going to faint, that my face went all weird!!!!

It's so good to be able to ask questions and talk!!! Xxx

Hey Jim. Hope you're as well as can be expected. Do you know I think my neighbours would think I have Tourette's, as when I'm alone during the day I let rip!!!! So irritable and such choice language!

      Going mad!!

bloody hell , you could be my twin lol my bad language over the last few months has been terrible, considering as a rule i would only use "moderate man words"  its the anger that seems to build up in me that worries me the most. :-(

it seems pain only has a bad effect physically mentally and just about every emotion , i have crippled over with agony at times , then 2 minutes later laughed my head off , its just not normal , didnt think F/S could cause mental illness as well.

Jim again, I can so identify with everything you say! And I think its when we do laugh out loud people think we are ok and can't be suffering that much!!!!

FS can lead to depression I'm afraid .............trust me - I've been there sad

      It needs more research .........

How's your pain today? Did you manage any sleep last night? xx

Omg I laugh at myself sometimes when I'm crying!!! I've truly turned into a bloody nutter.....you're not alone Jim!!!
    • Posted

i slept ok last night , i think i was that tired that my body just gave up lol still feel tired though , lethargic almost , gonna get a shower , might give me some life . it definately needs research , but i think the medical profession are not that interested .

Hey Jim, how are you doing?

Any relief or change in your pain levels

what part of a England are you in Jim? It sounds nice going for a walk in the woods. I know what you mean about the birds......we have a LOT of birds where I live and while some of them can be quite noisey and raucous I find them very peaceful 😀
