fullness in ears

when you get the fullness feeling and the ringing in your ears is there any exercise or something that you that lessens the effects? I'm pretty sure I'm getting into stage 2 of Menieres. I haven't had a vertigo attack since last year after three steroid injections. But my ear has been full and ringing for about two weeks now. Also does anyone experience changes, when the seasons change? Typically I feel better in the cold weather months then the warm weather months?

Always worth checking since TMJ is fixable. I personally haven't found any exercises that help with fullness. I find that the more my ear is ringing the more full it is. Water pills, etc never helps. If you find something shout it out.

I have full dentures with spikes to hold them in place. My TMJ is far worse now. The reason for the dentures was due to a so called 'hygienist NOT cleaning my teeth properly,I got an infection in uppers and lowers. I also have cadaver jaw bones now thanks to her.
Had worn full in my youth braces and tried the splint before.
Have also read somewhere that TMJ can cause Menere's.
Thank you for the reply

Seasonal changes, allergies, non allergic rhinitis can all increase ear fullness. Have you been seen by an allergist lately?

I'm not on betahistine, I live in the U.S. and its never been given to me as an option. The diet could be better on my end, I get that, but I dont really have any specific triggers except for the seasonal stuff. It always is worse this time of year, then in the colder months.

Betahistine is available in the US. Any compounding pharmacy can make it for you as long as you have a prescription. It's not covered by insurance however because it is not approved by FDA. You are correct that there has not been sufficient scientific testing done in the US to prove betahistine works better than placebo. The main reason for that is that there has not been much testing done at all in US on betahistine...and certainly not recently. However, most folks who have meniere's disease that use betahistine (as attested to on this forum) indicate betahistine is extremely effective in minimizing or eliminating vertigo. I can attest to that. The main variable is to find the dose that best works for the individual....for most folks it is 48 mg/day but for others it may be higher. Betahistine does not work for everyone but for those it does help it is a miracle drug. I highly recommend any MD sufferer who has not tried betahistine do so asap. Be patient, it does take time to work and as stated above you will likely have to reach at least the 48mg/day dosage for effectiveness. Most neurotologists (ENT doctors who have sub specialty in inner ear diseases) will start a new patient on 12 mg/day and work up to the 48 mg dose. This may take several months. One of the problems we face in the US is most ENT doctors here do not know about betahistine....it appears that patients have to go to the neurotologist for expert advice on meniere's disease treatments....such as betahistine, steroid injections, gentamycin injections, etc. My other recommendation is that if you have not been to a neurotologist and you have or suspect you have MD please see one asap. A final comment about betahistine....do NOT take ORAL antihistamines while on betahistine (they neutralize it). If you need antihistamines use only the ones that deliver the med via NASAL SPRAY. Nasal spray delivered antihistamines do not circulate through the blood system and thus do not neutralize betahistine. GOOD LUCK!

I don't know but I seem to get ear fullness when I am inside my house but when I am outside I don't feel it. Two ENT's have told me that I dont have MD

I find that I get that whenever there is any background noise the fullness & ringing goes away. But inside where it is quieter I can hear it.
