Funny tingling all over body

Hi everyone!
For about 6 weeks now, off and on, I've had this weird tingling all over my body.
At times it'll be concentrated in one place (like pins and needles) in both my feet or a hand or a shin. And then other times like tonight, it'll be like little sudden twitches of tingling...almost like a little buzzy, tingling insect. So tonight, buzz on my top lip and then my scalp and then my big toe and then my thumb and then my cheek. I go to scratch myself to make it stop (though it's definitely on the inside....not like a skin condition).
I went to the doctors about 4 weeks ago and he was very dismissive. Said it wouldn't be anything serious as neurological stuff would involve chronic persistent pins/needles in one specific area. I was texted for thyroid and glandular fever (as I mentioned I'd had a really bad cold and sore throat and that's when it seemed to have started). Both tests came back normal.
It's very annoying. I do have sciatica and wonder if that's causing it? The little tingles all over are keeping me awake right now!
Perhaps I should go back to the docs? To be honest, he made me feeling like a raving hypochondriac last time (despite the fact he could see from my records is not been to the doctors in over 10 years, apart from an A&E visit for a broken foot!).
Any ideas?

i have sciatica which contributes but it is barely there since I eliminated anything gluten and drastically reduced sugar intake. good luck. its been 10 years with improvement.

Hello all,
My first post here!
I have been having pins/needles sensation as well from past 2 months. Here is my story:
I am a healthy 41 year old male and have no history of smoking or alcohol. I had contracted Chickenpox in September 2019. It was horrible but what was to come is much more terrible! During December 2019, I developed some sort of reaction to heat: sudden and severe onset and a wave of prickly / tingling needles all over the body. Makes me hyperventilate and go crazy trying to keep calm. I saw multiple neurologists and all agree that there is a possibility of some effects of post chickpenpox. MRI, nerve conduction study and blood tests all come out clean. Saw many dermatologists as well. What I did notice was that I am now sweating very little, if any. If I carry out some physical activity and it's warm, I noticed that I don't sweat but rather develop this painful sensation within seconds. If this is allowed to continue, I start seeing tiny pinkish spots all over my arms and neck and back. Moving back to a cold location brings quick relief and those pink spots subside within minutes. Same thing happens when I have anxiety (e.g. a heated phone call with a client) or when I drink hot cup of tea or coffee. Also, having spicy food triggers the same reaction.
Strangely though, when taking a hot shower, I feel absolutely comfortable rather than feeling uncomfortable. In other words, hot water doesn't trigger anything at all. No tingling / needles. This has all the doctors confused.
I am currently on amitriptyline but it seems to have little to no effect. I am very confused and it makes it quite difficult to go anywhere outside and staying cool at home it seems is the only remedy for now.
Well that's my story above. Wish everyone here good health always!

I had burning/pins and needles about 5 years ago for 2 weeks. At the time, I did a blood test and CT scan and nothing abnormal showed up - it all disappeared. Now again - for the past 4 days - I've had pins and needles/burning on my hands, moving to my feet. The doctor did an ECG to rule out a heart issue (negative), and ordered blood tests again as well as a CT scan. He wasnt really worried about a neuro disorder as I only have pins and needles. Could it really all be stress yet again??
PS. I am on 25mg amitryptiline for sleep/anxiety (apparently this drug can cause pins and needles?)

I should also add that the pins and needles leave when I've fallen asleep and woken up in the middle of the night/morning - doesnt that point to anxiety too?

Guys,
Does it also get worse in a warmer environment? If it does, it's probably not neurological but could be a dermatological condition. I am investigating it as well.
