This lichens is just a nightmare have you been to the hospital or GP about it? What has caused the lichens I have it and I know hpv and lichens are connected but there are many people on here which is a big help and we can help each other

I haven't found any good doctors to really help they say they don't know why I have it and I had to ask for tests to look for the cause I think it's a auto immune dieses I just started Manuka honey so I'm going that helps

It is auto-immune. I also do the Manuka honey...just at bedtime with a cotton pair of panties or loose pjs. I've found that I've been able to control this much better since I added the aloe vera gel and manuka honey to my regime.  But the coconut oil is very good as well...for it's therapeutic benefits as well as for moisturizing.  I just don't do that as I'm doing so well with the other.

The Manuka honey helps with this itch? I never thought itches could itch Sooo bad till now.. I've tried a few things that, well, turned out less than desirable, more like they burned eek

Can you tell me how you do this? and does it really help with this itch too?

Ohh how I wish we knew then, what we know now. What a horrible thing to be stuck with. It's comforting knowing we're not alone though. If we have to be miserable, it helps to share cheesygrin

The witch hazel spray...dabbing dry afterwards and applying about 1/2 teaspoon or less of the aloe vera gel (99-100%) is what eliminates the itch for me.  I only use the Maniuka honey at bedtime for healing. After doing this for a couple of months I can occassionally skip a day...although I wouldn't recommend that...it's just if you are in a situation that it is inconvenient to do or you forgot your items that you may not have to be worried about a set back.

Thank you so incredibly much. I've been afraid to try too much, afraid of making it worse but, I just bought some organic manuka honey too. The witch hazel, I didn't know it could be used in front, we've always used it for the other end... I have some aloe plants too that I'll mix in there with this. Thank you so much for this info!  Also, tea tree helps too that I've found, as does Calendula but, that's more for a protectant. I just hope that we can find ease this and help other women to overcome this horrible feeling too. Pain, I do believe, is easier to deal with, than this horrible itch!

Are you trying the 100% aloe vera gel?  That stopped the fusing and scarring for me and all sensation has returned. Be patient...it takes a few weeks.  I also spray with the witch hazel before to keep healed...but if that is too harsh for you do the two pinches of bicarbonate of soda in 8 oz. of water in a spray bottle.  Pat dry and apply the aloe vera gel.  Please do give it a try...nothing ventured...nothing gained.

May I ask which aloe vera gel you use? Is it bought from a pharmacist? I have an aloe plant here, could I use that. The actual gel from the plant?

Sorry, I hope I am not flooding you with questions. I am trying to use hydrocortisone but it's causing pain and puffiness in my vulva. Are you also using hydrocortisone as well as these other preps?

I got it at a health food store I just looked for the purest I could find witch was 98 percent and only had four ingredients I think the aloe from the plant would even be better

The aloe vera gel I use is 100% and is by fruit of the earth.  I've also used the 98% and 99% with quite good success. From the plant would be the purest and safest form of course.  I could suggest you give up the hydrocortisone for a week and try the witch hazel, aloe vera gel and manuka honey for that week...to see if things calm down for you. You seem to be having a negative reaction to the hydrocortisone...and it may just be an ingredient in that particular brand that is causing the irritation. Stopping it for a short while should help you determine if it is the problem.  I wouldn't normally advise such a thing...but you are obviously in distress and have to try to find a solution. Steroids have nasty side effects...if you can find a more natural solution and be more comfortable that would only be a win, win.

athena, sorry to hear that, I can remember having a bit of a melt down not so long ago myself, I felt bereft, devastated, and it sounds like you feel much the same way.

The last time I felt the onset of  pain coming from my clitoris, I carefully rubbed about half a pearl sized amount of Clobetasol under the hood of the clitoris, and then the same on top, twice a day, for a while,  I found this to work for me, everyone has to find what works for them though.  I tend to only use the Clobetasol in emergencies, and then afterwards I use coconut oil, and Emu oil to keep things well lubricated.

When I was first diagnosed I was not aware of fusing, which is why I now have some on my labia minora.    I look at my Vjay every other day, and I never ever forget to spray after visiting the bathroom, always applying some sort of lubrication afterwards, I think the lubrication stops the fusing, I don't know this for a fact, but it kind of makes sense..

I honestly  believe that you can turn this around, many women have reported on this site the exact same thing, and have managed to do just that!, this is a condition that you can never relax with unfortunately...(hugs)

What do you mean by spray what do you use witch hazel and how do you manage this while working??

I have never used witch hazel, although I think Renee mentioned it works for her, as I said it's a case of finding out what works for you. Hanny, a lady that sometimes posts on here, has had good results with unfusing some areas by using a pinch of bicarbonate of soda in a bottle of water, which you then spray on after using the bathroom, and altering her diet as well.  I am Gluten and Dairy free, but take some time to read some of the older posts on here, as I think you might find them helpful.

I work from home, so I am fortunate I guess, I sometimes don't wear underwear, which feels better somehow, and you have to keep things very clean down there, lubricated, and yet not too wet or else that can cause itching, it does for me anyway, which is why I use a lot of talcum powder too, finding the right balance takes time.  I hope you start to feel a bit better, maybe seeing your Doctor might help too?

There are already some good suggestions on here.  My clitoris is wanting to be affected so now and then,  which then tells me it's really time to get the 'shot gun' out - meaning - I will have to use some sterioid/globetasol.  A person has to be very persisitant and keep at it all the time. There is no room for slacking or I'll get punished.  Best to remain dilligent with the LS maintenance.

Baking soda baths and rinses plus coconut oil to keep all moist are also important stand by's for me.  In the bath I most of the time also put some manuka oil.
