Hi all this is my first time on a forum
just wondered if anyone has a fuzzy head and giddy spells while taking mirtazapine .
i have been taking 15 mg for a few years which seemed to keep my symtoms at bay, recently felt more depressed so the doc suggested a 30 mg dose this is my fourth week and I have a fuzzy head ,headaches, nausea, and giddy spells (
anyone else have these side effects ?

I was on quetiapine as well until recenty. When I came off it I realised that the effect of that was like being on an anaesthetic.

as I'm sure it's the increase that's making me feel worse, but it's comforting
to know that these are true side effects not just something I'm imagining

Hello I'm off mirtazapine now. Phew, I tapered down from 30mg to 20mg in 4 days. Then took 15mg for 2 days and felt awful. So the doctor gave me sertline. I didn't take mirtazapine again. yayyy! It has been great. Ask your doctor to prescribe sertline. You will have no mirtazapine side effects then, because you won't have to take it anymore. Well that has been my experience and I feel much better :-)

Though the warm , cosy & mellow feeling is ever present too.
This website has described mirtazapine (aka remeron) as a cannabiss equivalent......

It is always good to re-assure others who are just starting to walk the road of strong medication use. Some have done this for me on other forums, so hey, pay it forward 8->
Literally, what doesn't kill me will make me better.
