Yes memory loss is extremely bad on Gabapen. Also confusion and focusing on something in your head to the point of obsession. While the world could b on fire and you'd miss it.

They say it comes back. I recently dropped to 100 mgs. My short term and focus is back. However,my memory bank has virtually been cleaned out

I'm worried it may b permanent

Hi Andrew, The Dr put my Mom, who is 87, on Gabapentin 300 mg 3 times per day and she took it for about a month. I live with her and I watched a woman who was normally extremely on the ball deteriorate to the point of not being able to remember how to do simple tasks or even operate the TV properly. She was immediately taken off in February/18 as soon as we reported it to the Dr and I hoped she would improve but she has continued to go downhill over the past 2 months. She obsesses over something and can't stop worrying about it all day. It's so sad to see her this way. She was put on Gabapentin to help deal with her constant pain and all it has done is add to her agony. Have you gotten any advice regarding what to expect in the future recovering from this memory loss etc.?
