Gallbladder pain two months after gallbladder removal

Hi guys, 2 months after having my gallbladder removed I still having some pain in the upper right abdomen. It is less than before the op but it is still there. It is not an attack, it is more like dull constant pain exactly were the gallbladder was. Any of you had this for some time after the surgery. Thanks a lot.

It's almost 4 months and I am still having right sided dull aching - i am so frustrated, like the rest of us.. Going back to surgeon for the 3rd time.. i use ice and advil and that helps but I want to understand why this is going on. I feel like if I twist and turn the wrong way, it pulls on that area.. Maybe its muscular and scarring?

s similar to the pain and nausea i had with the gall bladder. it seems to happen every otger day. eating doesnt seem to impact it like it did the first 5 weeks but movement can exasserbate it. does this soundlike anything any of you had and does it ever go away?

what causes this? why does it happen?

I know this was a while ago, but finding this forum has been a life saver for me. It's nearly two months since my gallbladder was removed and I'm in exactly the same boat. I had been recovering ok but I had to do some travelling and intensive work as part of that travelling, I decided to treat myself to a tasty burger and it's been a nightmare since. Each gallbladder attack last year was triggered by fatty red meat, I thought with my gallbladder out, I was in the clear. Wrong!

I've had pains in the right lower abdomen where two of the key hole surgery incisions were made. I've had horrendous gas all day. I spoke to a medical professional and they were more focussed on whether it's a kidney problem or even aortic aneurysm! After reading all the replies here, and seeing so many similarities I'm almost certain I've got leaking bile brought on from eating fatty red meat.

I guess beef needs to stay firmly off the menu for a bit longer then. I've been taking codeine and paracetamol and that is barely scratching the surface of the dull aches.
