Gallbladder scan

Hi everyone
So today I had my scan and the tech said nothing the whole way through abc said id hear off my doctor in 7-10 days, I just wondered for other people who have had gallbladder scans in the UK if their tech told them straight away if there was any stones/sludge? Or were they not at liberty to say? I've kind of got myself upset as I was convinced that's what was wrong and now maybe it isn't so it's going to take even longer and I can't deal with the pain any longer.
Thanks for any input

I used to live in London up to 2 years ago and in London every scan I ever had they never gave you a hint as to the result. Here in Cornwall I went for a breast X-ray for a lump they show me the lump tell me off the record it's 99 percent not cancerous take a biopsy and tell me not to worry. Then I had my gallbladder scan they showed me the stones counted them etc ... So it's down to where you live and how caring they are . In a city your a number in the rurals here your a person and they interact. You are going to have to wait. If they were going to tell you or hint they would of said no stones no infection. Or loads of stones etc.... Hope that helps ..

I stay in the country so it is a rural hospital I suppose. But what's upset me is that I'm terrified it's something really serious and I'm going to have to wait all that time to find out?

Well, I just had my gallbladder out yesterday. Went to my pre op appt. and was having an attack will I was in there, so doc. sent me straight to ER. He sent notes on my chart so ER admitted me right away. Gave me some good drugs, did blood work , low on potassium , so had to fix that with an hour of fluids, then had the surgery about 11 hours later. Keep getting bumped for emergency patient, but I was just happy to be out of pain. It was the laporoscopic and been sleeping a lot since I've home

I've got co codamol but thankfully I haven't had a really bad attack since last year. It's just the constant burning in the pit of my stomach every time I eat. I'm just concerned it's something really serious and no one is telling me anything it's got me so scared and upset

Had my GB out a year ago now, and have had some issue with pain especially recently. I went back for another Endoscopy and a couple Colonoscopy's and they found nothing untoward, however i was like you. i was worried there was something seriously wrong, it turns out they found nothing wrong, i wss still having discomfort between meals 2 or 3 hours after eating. i have sort of changed eating habits and reduced the size of meals and eat more often (smaller portions) tried that for the last week or so and have not had any discomfort. not sure if the problem is solved but for now i feel good....
