Garlic and coconut oil for outbreaks?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I've been diagnosed with hsv2 for almost 2 years and my outbreaks only get worse. I'm currently experiencing the worst one I've ever had, it's all over my vagina versus the one sore I had with my first OB. I found a site that said garlic and coconut oil were good. It didn't reccomend this, but I cut a garlic clove in half and put it inside my vagina (don't judge) and I put coconut oil on my vagina which was recommended. The itching has almost completely disappeared. I don't know how much better it's healing though. Does anyone have experience with this?

    Interesting

    I certainly understand the desperation

I would stick anything in there if i thought it would help !!

I read this too but wasnt hopeful. Seems like there is much written about relief on the net, but i figured it all came down to lidacaine and valtrex.

I am going to try your method and see if i can replicate your results !!

Your outbreaks are getting worse? That's terrible! How many have you had in two years? Have you ever had cold sores before you acquired GH?

Anyway, I've only read about garlic being used for yeast. Don't think I'd use it myself, as I don't like the idea of food put up there! Also, what if you can't find or get the garlic out, lol? Tea tree oil is my new personal favourite.

    So

I tried coconut oil last night

    It burrned like the devil

I can see how it would feel good at different points in an ob. Currently my labial skin is peeling and raw so i probably need to leave it alone.

I guess we all have to experiment and find what works

Wow, I didn't think coconut oil would burn! Tea tree oil is my favourite, but that would definitely burn before cooling. Neem oil is another one I've heard about, if you're willing to experiment. Not sure if olive leaf oil is good to apply topically, but if it's good to take orally, I don't see why not.

I think the coconut oil would have felt good at another point in the ob

Its just the peeling skin wants to be left alone right now

No but I'm laughing my tail off that's cute and very funny I'm so glad its working for you. Somebody must have been doing some real life research. Well if that works for you fantastic be sure and use cool cool water on that thing it helps with a fever take some aspirins keep clean and dry no matter which would. The clove. You have to tell us how the coconut oil work later after you get over this but if you will add a few more things to your regimen you will get better faster you are having an outrageous outbreak sometimes you can not stop them from coming but you can certainly stop the symptoms that hurt you the most which is itching a pinching sensation severe itching and soreness and blisters and all that. Did you happen to find a blister and pop it while you were down there? Because you have very well could have spread it I'm interested in your story thank you for sharing god bless and good luck sweetheart

So today I just did the clove and it works, but it takes roughly an hour to work. Yesterday with the coconut oil it was instant relief. Usually I use rubbing alcohol because I think it helps them dry out faster, but with this OB it was wayyyyy too painful. And no I don't pop the blisters. I usually don't notice an OB until it starts itching and feeling sore. My symptoms before hand are so mild it's hard to catch them.

This is what I told my boyfriend. I made a garlic, coconut oil and turmeric paste. It stings a little but no more itch.

And ob was gone in a shorter time frame.
