    Aww Bless you Lynn,

Everyone feels apprehensive.......I think I felt worse at my 2nd one and my first one was fine.....so why???

Where are you {sorry I cant remember} Why does no one speak english? That wont make things easy.

If you cant eat after 12 at least you should be sleeping and wont notice biggrin

You'll be fine....keep in touch when you can......will be thinking about you

    Love

I have been following you as you have your surgery one day after me...BUT got a call today and they delayed mine until next Tuesday July 29th, so now you will be ahead of me in your recovery by a few days...looking forward to your words of wisdom!  Now I will be thinking about you on Friday, hugs Patricia from Toronto

Oh no! That is disappointing. I have to phone in on Thursday night to find out if there is a bed available. I then have to be at the hospital for 8am for surgery later in the morning. At the moment I am having so many mixed emotions about it. I am in pain and know I need to have it done so will just have to try to be stoic. The forum does help. Have a good weekend and give Binky a big hug. X

      Ohh Patricis

What a disappointment and what an anti climax.....I know its only a week away but I suppose all you can think of is the amount of experienced people {even if it is only a week} that will be able to give you advicewink

Eileen,  yes that is the silver lining....Hippichic goes in on Friday and I think a few more this week so I will be checking in to see their progress....funny how until you are thrown into a situation (THR), you don't give it a thought, but when you are your life revolves around it...glad for this forum....is very comforting as sometimes even family/friends don;t realize our fears and worries

      Hi Patricis

You are so right....I didnt know this forum existed when I was hiving my THR's done but i did find the arthritis care forum which was a lifeline to me.......especially for the first one.....I hadnt a clue what was going to happen

    Hi Lynn,

Like Martin said, deep breath and be glad you don't have far to go tomorrow. You will be fine, and will be in recovery and on the road to getting better in no time.

Does the 7.15am start mean you are first on the list? I hope so, you won't have time to feel nervous. (Or hungry! biggrin)

Let us know how it goes.

Aww bless you Lynne believe me I was terrified bout it was over in no time and am now well on the road to recovery !!! You will be fine and giving advice to others next week , good luck nd get some sleep xxx

Keep smiling - it's normal to be scared before surgery.  At least you have an early slot in the morning and if you can get to sleep it shouldn't be too bad not being allowed to drink. Try to get to sleep tonight as most of us found sleeping on our backs a bit of a trial.

Bon nuit et dors-tu bien (hope this is right my french is v v rusty)
