Good news !!

Went to fitness center yesterday and rode the bike for 10 whole minutes!!  Sounds like nothing I know but for me it was wonderful because this morning I woke feeling pretty good.  No after effects and it was great to do some exercise and not be "punished" afterwards.

I'm hoping to rest today and try again on Tuesday for another 10 mins... slow and steady as they say.

I'm taking 6 mg .... tried 5 but didn't feel so great.  I was thinking I'd do 5 every other day.  Any thoughts?

All the best to everyone !!

      Hey Oregonjohn,

I'd love to get lower with the Pred. but i know it has to be slow.  That's kind of why I don't like Yoga.... too slow for me.  I've always liked to move and move..

Hope you are doing well....  take care,  judy

Glad you're starting to be able to do something! Go slowly (I learned the hard way. sad)

    Hi Judy,

Great to hear you're able to do a little exercise without paying for it!

Because I'm very afraid of flares, I would stay at 6mg for a few days to see how your new exercise affects you, especially since you didn't feel so good at 5mg.  Are you using the DSAS method?

How long have you been on 6mg? Below 7mg your body is having to sort itself out to produce cortisol properly and that takes time. Even endocrinologists have said to us that going slowly at this stage is essential to avoid problems.

you will find a slow reduction plan (Dead Slow And Nearly Stop) which has worked for a lot of people and has been approved by rheumatologists too.

    That's my thoughts...

Thanks, Eileen,  I do have Dead Slow....  Hard to hold myself back but I've learned my lesson, I hope.  I truly miss my "past" life of activity and moving and working out and lifting weights.  I was really into getting stronger and improving my cardio.   Plus I used to be a help to my friends.

Takae care of yourself as well.  all the best.  judy

Good news continued!!  I've been on 6 mg for about 3 to 4 months.  !'ve tried recently to reduce to 5mg but I didn't feel good. Went back now to 6 and I'll stay there for the rest of June.  I'm trying to take it slow.

I won't do more than 10 mins for several weeks.  I'm not interested in feeling terrible as has happen when I was foolish.  I walk the dogs several times a day and doing 10 mins on the bike felt so good !!

thanks for all your thoughts .

    All the best to everyone...
