someone just posted this on my face book page ,i am still smileing iv known this for years .my gran told me something very simulair .

here goes.  i can honestly say that unless your in a serious accident ,your best way to live to a ripe old age is to avoid doctors and hospitals .

and learn about nutrition ,herbal medicine and other forms of natrual medincine. unless you are fortunate enough to have a naturopathic doctor.

almost all drugs are toxic and are desighned only to treat the symptoms and are not a cure.

vaccines are highly dangerous ,have never been adequatly studied or proven to be effective and have poor risk/reward ratio

most surgery is unnecessary and textbooks of medincine are inaccurate and deceptive, almost all disease is said to be idiopathic [without known cause] or genectic -although this is untrue .

in short ,our mainstream medical system is hopelessly inept /and or corrupt. the treatment of cancer and degenerative diseases is a national scandle . the sooner you learn this the better of you will be .

I utterly agree with you. I studied Herbalism when I realised that doctors can't help me.

I severed a tendon in my thumb and had to have an operation. The surgeon talked to me before it and I said 'No antibiotics!' She was horrified and described how the skin is covered in bacteria and that they'd enter my body as soon as she cut the thumb.

I emphatically said no and that as soon as I got home I'd use Myrrh and Grapefruit Seed Extract. But I had to stay in over night after the op because the nurse said I shouldn't go home if no one was there because of the meds that put me under in my system.

Sure enough my arm went bright red and swelled up. It was very painful. As soon as I got home I took Myrrh and GSE and within half a day my arm was back to normal. I will not take antibiotics, vaccines, antidepressants or such.

I have no choice but to take antihistamines because of skin itching, I use painkillers at a minimum and Creon capsules for digestion and wish I didn't have to. But mainly it's herbs and diet that I rely on. Great discussion tiswas!

someone at last that talks sense , the skin itching worries me hun i used to take antihistamines for etecara not sure if that is spelt right, b its a slightly raised red blothches that itch like mad ,

the lady who  done my acupunture at the time told me these were very bad , said can actuly cause itching and effect the heart rhythems and cause depression i stopped using them , i applied aloe vera to them and nano silver when they flared up

since continueing with reflexology and accupunture i dont get them any more , i sometimes have an unexplained itching which is all over

but tend to ignore it ,dosent last long , this can be liver related maybe have you had your liver tested.

it was great news about your arm not that it got bad but you managed to put it right , i use nano silver and lavender for burns silver for treating ear wax , and burns to ,aloe for just about everything.

i also take nano gold supplement , have you tried aloevera for digestion the liquid iv known people have some very good results .

i broke my nose in a fall in 2013 blood every where knocked my self dizzy with slight cunconsion ,and broke a bone in my hand round my thumb , they kept me in casulty to make sure i was ok because of my head ,

and the nose was bleeding loads ,tthey kept saying do you want painkiller i kept saying no i had no pain at all except the impact pain when i fell . came home dazed and dizzy and waited for the pain to start nope ,my hand kicked of in the night throbbed like mad

i just used polar frost roll on numbed the pain nicely ,i used arnica on my nose and checks and silver nasal spray to help heel my nose  no pain killers no bruising .well a slight tinge of green , but i was expecting black eyes and everything , i mean heads and pavements dont go well together.

can you tell me more about Myrrh i know its an essential oil but i no litle more than that . lol

i hope you are feeling ok now after you have had your operation on your arm. a couple of years ago i was bending a door handle when suddenly it snapped and went straight through my archery and i had to have an emergency operation so that the archery could be repaired and i could not use my arm afterwards for about 3-6 weeks which was very annoying.

Lol on heads and pavements! You nut! lol

I worry about using anti histamines, one doc said they're bad for the liver. I've been taking them for years for this skin itching and I can't do without them. I scratch my legs etc until blood pours down them without them!

This is one symptom that herbs don't work on, well they do help but they're no where near strong enough to deal with it. Unless I'm missing one that works. I have taken aloe vera in the past but didn't take it for long enough because of the cost, but I've ordered some from my herb suppliers at a reasonable price and good quality.

I'd love to try reflexology, in fact I'm going to do a course with the local college, distance learning but with some practical training in college. I had to take Anatomy, physiology and pathology theory first and I did that last year. I may do aromatherapy too but they're both expensive. But if I'm going to spend money on my health it has to be on getting myself trained up, hence the herbalism diplomas.

You sound very clued up on herbs etc! Myrrh is antibacterial, antiviral etc. The three wise men story in the Bible where they gave it to him, is probably becuase they used Myrrh to preserve bodies. It's powerful stuff!

Very wise and apt for me; you knew I needed to hear it! The past sometimes comes up as a part of healing and learning to forgive etc, but you're right, better not to dwell on it too much or for too long. cheesygrin

Itchy skin. It is so tormenting Georgia, and when you're finished it hurts. Still the hurt is better than the itch I find.

I find my itches are worst when I change for bed. Treatment one is to spray the itch in the shower turning up the heat until I cannot bear it, That fixes my itch for the night. I do not wake up with blood spotting the sheets.

If that does not work and i scratch and I am getting a lots of red areas of blood I use the steroid cream I have from the doctor. That fixes my itch for a few days and then I repeat the process.

    • Posted

you have done very well all that study is hard when you not well and esp when fatigue is your enemy.

yes i know you have to know about the body to do reflexology .its a very good treatment unfortunatly the lady i used to have treatment with has changed jobs.

because she couldnt make a living doing it .what with having to keep up to date with endless courses and with the cost of the insureaces .

two films yo might like if you have not already seen them , Loranzos oil ..and first do no harm .both i think with meryl streep .

    • Posted

Oh you get it too! It is tormenting, good word. You can't concentrate on anything else. Thanks for explaining what you do. I take it you don't use antihistamines then.

Dust mites are an utter pain and having ME means changing the bed is really hard work but when I do that I itch a lot less. I use a dehumdifier and I've got a plug that emits a high pitched noise that interrupts their breeding cycle, but it's like fighting an invincible army that keeps attacking.

I don't know if dust mites are the only cause. What do you think it is?

    • Posted

Shame about your Reflexology lady! Can you find another one?

I saw Loranzos Oil, great film, but I haven't seen the other one. It might be in Netflix, I'll have a look. Thanks I recommend 'The Dumbell and the Butterfly' if you haven't seen it.

I enjoy studying, especially for the degree with the OU, but yes it's hard. I'm happier when I'm doing it though. I need something to do and to set goals so I feel like my life is going somewhere. And I can study in bed.

      Dear Georgia,

Causes? I have pale delicate skin.

      -  sweat.,Usually the hot spray clears this up. Once it did not and really got a grip. It spread and became quite extensive. it also passed from itchy to painful. I thought it must be serious and went to the doctor. It wasn't. Steroid cream cleared it but took about two weeks.

      - loss of pigment . The margin where pigment is being lost is very prone to being itchy. Hot spray helps until I am drawing too much blood when I resort to steroid cream. In a few dyas the itch resumes.

You probably gather that I do not like using steroid cream and minimise my use of it.

Recently I had and still have extensive itch. This is different from the above. I believe it is a general side effect of radiotherapy for prostate cancer. It appears as tiny needle point size scabs after scratching. The therapy was confined to a narrow band round the pelvis. The itch covers my back, waist, thighs and arms. My skin also seemed to age over two weeks arround the end of therapy from the beginnings of age wrinkles to very loose, dry and wrinkly. Gradually the skin has been returning to its pre treatment state. I have added this for completeness. Others may be interested in this side effect I have never seen mentioned. It does show that radiotherapy for one area has an effect on the whole body.

Something you can do for your skin is find a good Vitamin E oil, don't towel dry yourself after a shower; apply the oil all over your wet skin. Put a dressing gown on until you're dry.
    • Posted

Thank you Georgia. A good vitamin E oil - such as hemp oil of which I take a teaspoonful daily?

see this is my problem and part of the reason i am sick, i have to do everything at full speed and have tp have a place for everything i cant just relax into doing stuff i cant even read in bed , mind you part of that reason is that my bum goes numb .

so glad that you have been able to do so

. First do no harm comes round on tv occasionly iv never seen it on netflix . but its such a up lifting film , it starts with a happy family then epilespy hits there youngest son

of course there first step was the doctor then the hospital when the meds didnt work , seeing her son suffer so much from the the meds they were forcing into him, and him still not getting better the mother started her research

. and found a clinic that practise the high protein diet that has brought so much releif to a lot of sufferes not everyone but a lot people

and then her battle really begins with fighting the medical professionals for the right to take him there to try . well she got there and the diet worked for him .its based on a true story. your enjoy it .

iv noted the film you mentioned  .i shall look out for it.

have you seen the robbie williams film called What dreams may come.its so beaufiful and spiritul . razz

I have the number bed and it works fantastic with my problems, stemming from an auto accident.  Back, legs, neck pain 24/7...it helps that I can also make the bed sit up, lie flat, put legs up...you get the picture.  Anyway, it's a good find on our part, for sure.

      Warmly,

If it contains Vitamin E yes. I used to have dry skin and I started doing this with baby oil years ago, I changed to jojoba oil (expensive), and ended up using vitamin E oil. The difference to my skin is amazing, people say it looks really young.

As for the itching I don't shower often enough because of the ME, or change my bed often enough because I have to steam it every time, re dust mites; if I did it more often I think it might help, just so darned exhausted and standing up's really hard work, I have a shower seat but it's still hard work. I resort to quick sink washes mostly, not all over. It's something I'll have to work on. If you're using the oil too we could compare notes about our itching.

I looked and it's not in netflix but if it comes on I'll watch it. razz

Robbie Williams the singer? Didn't know he'd been in any films. I look the film up, thanks. The Dumbell and the Butterfly's a book too that my mentor Steve recommended to me. I won't tell you what happens but it's really challenging and uplifting.

I've ordered Aloe vera gel and Aloe vera juice to give them a go, and I asked my herbal supplier if she knows of anything else for itching skin. She said Chickweed cream and Nettle juice and it has to be the juice.

I usually harvest Nettles from my garden and sometimes from around the village so now I need to find out how to get juice out of them instead of drying them.

    • Posted

never heard of using nettle juice for itchy skin but maybe its like and   like or that

nettles are strong in iron.maybe. chickeweed cream iv heard of.

lets hope it does the trick , maybe you will need a juicer to get juice out of the nettles . aloe juice should help with digestion . for most people.let me know how you get on.

Yes I've tried it with Devil's Claw and I found that the itching is removed for a few hours then I need another dose so it means taking it very often. Seeing as I use several other herbs as well I err on the side of caution. Will  keep you posted! biggrin
    • Posted

yes i realise that natraul can also mean dangerouse if not used right .

i know you have to be careful with herbs .eek

    • Posted

Yes I have a rule not to take more than four or five different herbs at the same time so if I'm introducing a herb to take for a while, like Burdock at the moment I stop taking one of the other ones.

I stopped taking Barberry, which I use for heart burn but I've got my heartburn back! Shucks, so I'll probably stop taking Wild Yam (for hot flushes) for a while because I'm nearly over them anyway.

I take Kali for the calming properties. I've used colodial silver in the past but the cost stopped me. I use Q10 and a vitamin D spray because they say the body can't digest it in tablet form. How true it is I don't know but the spray's good anyway.

I was leaving off taking an antihistamine this morning but the itching was starting up on my lower legs. The Aloe vera juice and gel arrived and I took some juice and rubbed gel on my legs and the itching went!

If the itching starts on my head I'll have to have an antihistamine so I'm going to look for Aloe vera shampoo now, or perhaps some Dr Bronner's liquid soap with Aloe, which is good as shampoo.

    • Posted

hi georgia this stuff is amazing if my head starts itching i use cold milk dabbing it on the scalp it normaly works ,or i squeese the gell in to my hands and massage it in my sclap and wash it of later the gel is water based .the dr bronners shampoo alsounds like a good idea shall look that one up .cool

i used take the one with all 12 tissue salts combined .as well just for general health.but got expensive with the other stuff  i use i am sure you know that feeling .got to draw the line somewhere.i hope you get good results with the aloe i but 3 organic 100ml tubes for around £7.00 its the best iv used .cool

    • Posted

Many thanks Georgia. The Aloe Vera gell seems easier to use? I won't try the Dr's liquid soap with Aloe as I react poorly to soap.
    • Posted

Cold milk, wow! I don't use milk though, well rice dream is alternative milk.

Yes I have Dr Bronner's liquid soap for babies; very mild. I could add some of the Aloe gel to that. I don't think there is a Dr Bronner's shampoo but the liquid soap works as shampoo. You can get it in ebay.

    • Posted

I have multiple chemical sensitivities so I also react poorly to soap. Dr Bronner's liquid soap is designed for people like us and it's the only soap I can use apart from the soap I make.
    • Posted

Thank you Gorgia. I use a cheap cleansing agent called by supermarkets something like "Bath Cream". It is intended to be added to the bath water. I use it as liquid soap and shampoo (I am bald so i cannot say whether it would be a shampoo for anyone with nice hair to look after.) It is also a remarkably effective stain remover. Don't ask me why my skin likes 'a remarkably effective stain remover'? Funny peculiar, isn't it. It works for my skin and for my clothes in small areas. Foams, so not for the washing machine.

see now theres something eles they are going on about rice milk and rice saying it has arsnic in and is very bad for you .what and who do you belive

it drives me mad. milk works for me due to the fat content i think if iv ran ou tof gel i also use it on my skin2/3 apllications usely calms it down.

i use coconut milk and fat .they said that was bad for you back in the 70s now changed there mind. i hope the gel keeps working for you.eek

    • Posted

i have also used live yogurt and cream .on my skin does the same .so must be due to fat content .

I used coconut milk sometimes too, and coconut oil, they're incredibly good for us. Yes it's hard to know which products we can trust.
    • Posted

they even said that the childrens cearel rice crispies were bad for them

but how much is to much .apparently  brown rice is ok ,so it leads me to think that its something to do with the processing of  rice not the rice it self .i dont know .who to trust . or what to believe

one of my dogs loves cocont oil but only when its liq and he likes it on me as well when i have a foot rub i use coconut oil ,scruffs straight ther trying to lick it of its funny but annoying little scrout .

his my daughters dog we ended up with him when she broke up with her bloke was supposed to be tempory but the council flat shes got has no out door space and he just went nuts there when we tried him there for a week we had to get him after 3 days. and his a holy sh*t ,

we have had him done its made no differnce ,weve got plug ins calming plugs and iv tried the spray on him as well and the tablets nothing calms him steve walks him most days for an hour and his still full of energy

,which to point i can put up with but he keeps attacking our dog and shes getting on abit she just happy for a walk a bit of a run around the garden and sleep all day but him is  atoatl night mare .ANY IDEAS. besides a hammer haha

i just couldnt bare to leave him at rehoming kennals his such a cute little chap , but his such a handful his only about 12lbs .thing is he is a farm dog a ratter by breed so every little movement and his there ,eek

Animals are funny aren't they and they seem to like healthy things. I make soap with essential oils and I sent a friend a bar. When she opened it she said her cat immediately sat on it, curled up and went to sleep! lol

She had to resort to hiding it.

I've never had a dog so I don't have any suggestions I'm afraid.

I've realised that though the gel helps I won't be able to stop the antihistamines because I need to rub it on often when the itching occurs, but of course at night it'd keep waking me up.

Yes the fridges and freezers. The gases are supposed to have no smell but I started smelling it, and getting headaches and nausia every time I opened them. I tried a different fridge, a new one, same thing!

It's a blessing though because it's lovely to be free of them. I was a bit apprehensive at first but I've found that I don't need them, and my leccy bill is lower. More room in the utility room. I don't have to defrost the fridge!!!!! Yay All benefits!

I also suffered childhood abuse and it screwed me up in a massive way. My grandparents and uncle were my rocks. The past few years bad memories have been coming back.

I think there's a stage we reach where we sort of re live it in order to face it, cry perhaps sometimes, then learn to forgive, for ourselves!

We can come out the other side, especially if we love and care for ourselves and others. I've been learning to forgive my mum and it's really hard but I'm getting there, and so can you! biggrin

My Uncle was really special to me. He never had any children and I lived with him and my grandparents for the first years of my life. My mum was there but I barely remember her being there. He took mum, her partner and me on a boating holiday on the Loch Ness when I was around 18 and he said to me 'If I'd had a child I would have wanted it to be you'.

My mum has said things like 'I wish I'd never had you!' She's getting more mellow and kinder as she gets older though. I watched a woman in youtube last night that explained the sensitive nature so well, and she has or had ME. I'll try and find the link and PM it if I can.

Ah yes daily shopping. You could get your messages delivered too by the grocer's boy or butcher's boy on his bike with the big basket and small wheel at the front. Where have all those shops gone? Are we really better off with the huge out of town suermarkets? Are all 16 year olds better off being kept in school? Am i a dinoseaur, skilled and comfortable for an age that vanished decades ago?

My grandma had a stone pantry; oh I loved that house! Marinading makes the meat and fish taste so good, and it really quick and easy to do. And oils in the diet are especially important to me because I don't digest facts properly.

Ah yes interesting! The way I smell perfumes and aftershave, cleaning products etc must be very different to other people, because I just smell nasty chemicals and no one would wear it if it smelled like that to them! When I get a whiff of it it feels like a powerful physical attack. I've literally run out of a shop and doubled over from the shock it gave my system. I wear a mask in taxis, buses, going in shops etc.

This is something I've always had. When I was young and someone in the street was wearing perfume it used to make me feel sick, and I was usually sick on car journeys when dad pulled in for petrol.

Electricity is also a problem. Being near pylons makes me feel really ill and I noticed that as a teenager when I had to walk under one near the Glastenbury festival.

Do you think this made me predisposed to ME?

Just to add when I was younger it was nowhere near as bad as it is now. I could handle fridges and not smell the gases. Perfumes weren't this bad.

oh god me to a right old dinousaur . i truley think life was better in the past we had morals and discapline ,you cant have an army without disaplince so how do you think you can run a school without it.

i was watching some history programme and they referred to having to clean the front step and window ledge by 8.30 in the morning i think it was paul ogrady on what happened to the working class . eek

I have a friend called Annie in Royal Games and she talks about synchronicity between us. I have it with you too because I had to keep changing schools because dad was a police man. People tried to bully me but I stood up to them and gained respect.

Someone said that we shouldn't think too much about the bad things happening in the world or worry too much. I tend to do it a lot and it makes my illness worse so I sign the petitions etc, then when things come into my mind that will bring me down I try to change the subject in my mind to something lighter. We can change the world by changing ourselves, by getting better and putting out lighter vibes, which can be felt and do good on a much larger scale than we can possibly imagine!

yes your right hun .the biggest boon to me was getting rid of live tv .the ads drove me mad ,and the news . oh god . just doom and gloom every day .

most people let it wash over them but i would take things to heart and they would make me feel ill or angry then ill  .so much better with out it eek

That sounds terrible about the rocker. I fell down last year, lost my balance and landed on my cocyx! The paramedic said I'd fractured it. It was agony for a few months and I could barely sit up, but it's healed nicely.

Being dependant on someone doesn't rob you of your dignity unless you let it! If you were caring for someone would you see them as having less dignity?

NO HUN BUT I LIKED TO THINK I WOULDNT MAKE THEM FEEL BAD ABOUT THEM SELVES . I WOULD DO IT BECAUSE I WANTED TO HELP NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE A BURDEN . THATS THE WAY MY HSUBAND MAKES ME FEEL HUN .sad

Oh that's different if it's him that makes you feel that way. I thought you felt like that about yourself. But still don't take his ways and views onto yourself! It's your perspective of you that's important! Most of the time I'm so glad I live alone. Simpler.

i am strong hun like you i have had to be  but he still gets me down

i am worth more and i deserve more .i know this but like you i am a little week at the moment.

but i am trying to stay more positive then negative and i am trying not to let him get to me but its hard .cry

    • Posted

Yes we both deserve more; my son's dad was very violent and I ended up with my baby son in a women's refuge. My last boyfriend wasn't violent but he was mentally abusive and when I ended it he stalked me for around a year. I think that contributed to my ME.

Roy's a nice guy, but then I don't want to end up with him just because of that.

How do you mean that I'm feeling weak at the moment? I'm feeling pretty strong and optimistic. razz

      Dear Georgia

You are the first person I have met that detects chemical scents and flavours. Indeed you sound even more sensitive than I.

At the first wiff, do you hold your breath until you have move out of range?

Many flavours in factory foods have a metallic overtone that shouts chemical industry smell-a-like. Similar in household cleaning products, cosmetics and hygiene products.

I am not nearly as sensitive or reactive as I used to be. But I destest so many of the odours that I suppose the user and manufacturer find to be pleasing. I detest then as false, ugly and dangerous.

    • Posted

Apart from perfumes/petrol making me feel sick when I was younger I think the first time I really noticed the chemicals was around 10 years ago when my son used to be near me with orange squash. I'd never liked the smell but it intensified to such an extent that the chemicals smelt over powering!

I don't think I used to know what man made chemicals smelt like but I know them exactly now. Their aroma is much stronger than the actual scent that supposed to be pleasant. I feel like I'm scientific laboratory equpment! lol

Yes I do hold my breath! And cross the road to avoid people, put my hand over my mouth. 99% of people smell terrible to me and make me ill, it's a hermit's life! I can't join clubs, go to religious or spiritual meetings etc.

I used to get a taxi to town and the taxi driver told me that Lynx makes him feel ill, and he's in a small enclosed space with it daily. His friend, another taxi driver, became very ill from perfumes and had to give up his job, these were previously healthy people!

It's not just us chemical intolerant people that need to worry; it's everybody because it can cause sicknesses.

i cant believe that people think they smell nice the heady smell of several fragencies all combined together makes my head swirl.

i am alright with oil based expensive perfumes the alchol based cheaper perfumes are awful give me a right headache and dry my skin .

my faverate perfumes are roll on essential oil perfumes , like joaoba oil and indian rose oil , and musky oil , i love patchtula oil to me its heaven but i know its a heavy smell for some. [i am a bit of a hippy]

i cant sit at a table with anyone eating food with mint sauce or fish sauce or any strong smelling sauce ,or if they are drinking any kind of juice the smell turns me right of my food as i smell it so strong i begin to taste it as well . thank god they stopped smoking in eating places that used to be hell. although i did smoke for yrs ,i never did in a restraunt.

i find lynx one of the worst deodarants i much prefer a roll on unsented with some essential oil roll on perfume

i received my tincture today so will try it as a mouth wash although the smell  of it says its going to be bitter ,i dont do bitter ,but will try it .and iv got some lavender oil to put on my temples to help sleep, and relieve headaches confused i hope your having a good day.

And Georgia, on reflection I think it is more that I taste that metalic/chemical odour rather than smell it in my nose, taste it right at the top surface of the tongue almost as if floating a micron above the tongue.
    • Posted

iv had a look at the heidi sawyer vids so good she has me nailed . so much makes sense now it really is excellant stuff .biggrin

Yes me too, the metalic taste lingers in my mouth so it's smell and taste with me.

I adore essential oils, especially Ylang Ylang and Frankinsense. The thing is that our natural (clean) body scents from our hormones smell lovely and attract the opposite sex so why mask it with chemicals?

I use bitter herbs a lot because they're anti inflammatory and autopsies have found that people with ME have inflammed brains. A Indian doctor felt my head when I was first ill and complaining of headaches and he said 'You're brian's inflammed;. How he did it I don't know; no other doctor has been able to do that that I've seen.

I think bitter herbs are mainly what's helped me to recover as much as I have, and that's a fair bit. Perhaps you could find out why you're adverse to bitters? What kind of physical effects do they have. Apologies if you've already told me, I forget things.

It's ok, the little bits of crying I'm able to do now are really good and a blessing. Just wish I could do it more!

Put your first marriage behind you now, regrets don't bring benefits, but you've learnt lessons to use in life.

yes your right hun and lessons from my second one too lets hope number 3 will be the blessing i deserve and come soon lol and i am glad your crying if it helps .i am afraid to let it all out i am afraid i wont be able to stop cry

but i am glad your finding it helpful confused

its just makes me shudder and heave , but your right about bitters have you tried swedish bitters .neutral
    • Posted

I was like that, afraid it'd be an almighty flood if I let it out but it's not like that. The past few years it's just coming out a tiny bit at a time now and then, very gently so don't be afraid of it, it's natural and as necessary as laughing, in fact they say they're a similar release.
    • Posted

Well I'm like that if I suck a lemon, well the shuddering bit, not the heaving. But I still suck them because they're good for me. You can change your taste for things over time by gradually introducing bitter foods and eliminating sweeter ones. The health benefits are worth it.

Some foods I used to eat I can't stand the thought of now, and I crave healthy foods. I don't care how bitter a herb is, and some of them, like antiparasytics, are utterly horrible, but I'll still take them as teas or whatever. Parasites are more horrible! lol

No mum never gave us that but I take cod liver oil now. I read that in our grandmas times they used to regularly worm themselves with castor oil. Nowadays we worm pets but not ourselves, we're animals too and we all have parasites. I'm due for a parasite cleanse, long over due!

i sort of agree with you i just dont like to think about it , freaks me out hun .supersensistive about that sort of thing.

theres loads of stuff i like that i cant eat and  i miss marmite love it and i miss a real big crunchie salad sandwiche  but i no i will pay a heavty price if i eat it and i so miss stuff. no one believes me .makes me feel like i am making it up .because it sounds daft. last summer i dreament i was climbing up a jumbo salad sandwich with boiled eggs in  .

i am sure its not allergies its emotional upset i am so very unhappy in my life at the moment it effects my solar plexis .and causes problems with food and digestion

.i am sure if lainy my reader is right and i find my eternal flame

everything will come back right . she said she sees me eating a ploughmans in a pub with friends now that would be a mircle

but they do happen .lets hope its my turn soon . razz

When I did my first parasite cleanse I was well freaked out by the whole thing and I really had to grit my teeth to learn about it and do it, but it had a good impact on my health, and I got used to the idea of it so it doesn't bother me now.

It's like aversion therapy where someone might learn to stroke a rat or something, that's what happened with me, I lost my fear and revulsion and am quite calm about it now.

Syrup of figs, hummm I'll have to look that up, thanks.

I didn't realise you actually throw up, sorry! sad

Lol on your jumbo salad sandwich! You'll be eating one one day I'm sure, I agree with Iainy. And I'll be well too; I'm really feeling it this year and projecting it into my future. razz You could do the same, believe it! They say to visualise yourself well. I visualise myself running! Love running. What do you visualise yourself doing? (unless it's private - Lol).

yes i do hun and its quite violent , i thought i was going to have an episode last night had to go to the loo 3 times between 6 am and 6.30 normaly but just had to get rid of the pain i usely have before being sick

,i tried to stay calm and breath thru it it seemed to work . to much salt over the last 3 days i dont add but i had 2 lots of pancetta , crisps, beef casserol  where i used 2 oxos reduced salt ones but stll got to me . i really didnt want to be sick not on my birthday so fingers crossed iv got rid of what was making me feel sick .

i  am trying hun to visualise my self well ,but you forget one thing hun you live on your own i have my son round me 24/7 and my husband both very negative and depreasing energies.

i think i would come right on my a lot quicker living on my own

when you said cod liver oil for clearing you out are you sure you didnt mean caster oil thats what i used to take for constapation .when i was a teenager

until i found uncut wholemeal bread i ate that like it was going out of fashion back in the 70s and up till i was pregnant the first time

when i couldnt eat it with out getting an up set tum i tried eating afterwards the same .iv not been able to eat it since, that was 84

i think also i must be one of the few who take iron tablets

and it gives them  direorh and still does but thats why i had to have iron injections for 16byrs because i couldnt take the tablets and i suffered from aneima  . defo screams a sensistive nervous system .

i visualise dancing and really long walks i am not built for running i think wirey people are best desighned for running long distant i used to like a

sprint.hedi says its the year of the sensistive intuative .so lets hope so hun

we could both do with a break .lol have u thought any more about getting a dog.

Sounds like a horrible thing to be going through! I really hope you heal soon. I did say our grandmas used Castor Oil to parasite cleanse but I take Cod liver oil capsules. I have used Castor Oil but I'm not currently.

Happy birthday, another year that you've survived being ill, and a year of some recovery to come hopefully.

I take iron tablets, I prefer liquid iron but it's expensive. I think I'll get some more, thanks for reminding me.

I'm not getting a dog just yet because I have to focus on several other important things first. When the time's right. razz

I've also seen other people's accounts of their tastes for foods changing over time because of the new healthier foods they're now more used to.

Occassionally, very occassionally I might have something I used to eat as a treat, but I often eat some and I'm revolted by it and wonder why one earth I used to like it!

Yes Georgia, I have found something similar. When I switched to a vegan diet I developed a positive liking for pulse stews. I never craved meat, much to my surprise. Now I am on a wider diet I look at scrambled eggs reasonably happily, chicken with a certain distrust and mild loathing. Fish I am reasonably happy with. My preference is pulse. Pulse is harder work to prepare so I don't make a fuss. But I long for pulse for my main meal. Oats are my preference for breakfast and supper and oaten spelt bread.
    • Posted

Didn't realise you're on a vegan diet. What kind of pulses?
    • Posted

It is at present vegan plus. We thought that after radiotherapy there would be a lot of tissue repair needed hence the addition of some animal protien. I became really comfortable with vegan during the three months I kept strictly to it. My wife does the shoping and cooking. I think haricot, red and green lentils, chick peas and a black bean which I saw soaking in the kitchen but do not recognise.
    • Posted

I love lentils! I make herby lentil burgers. And I like using (green) mung beans and (purple) aduki beans. I like chick peas too for making humous but I haven't made it for a while; I've been buying the humous.

If I had more energy I'd be making everything from scratch!

    • Posted

Chick peas are good teamed with lentils. Makes a nine mix of textures.
