GUNGE LEGS

Well it's been a while since it felt I was getting better

2 years ago and ever since I have had horrendous symptoms from power walking

That many have never heard or identified with

I get like the feeling of Golden syrup sometimes under my skin, leaking down my legs many times

Plus I get intense hot burning under the skin, as if I have walked into a nettle bush and stung myself

I love walking quick but after a mile, my legs go so stiff and hard i literally have to force them to move rather robotically

I'm not sure in the long term if I'm doing some long term damage but I'm vain and can't bear the thought of getting obeses

I'm in pain even when not walking, today they are burning hot

Please don't suggest other activities, I only like power waking and Aerobics and dancing

Been to many physiotherapist and scans with no avail

Should I warm up before power walking?

Or anything I can do to walk quick for 2 hours without the legs wanting to go into Lock

Your time and live and care mean the world to me

Please help me to be a normal young man

I'm 40 this year with the leg problems of an 80 year old but walking is good for you

Love Kristian xxx💗💗

    Hi

Sorry about your symptoms I can only ask, are you walking correctly? You could walk towards a full length mirror and look at yourself.

    Good healing

Tbh Clive, not sure I do walk properly.

      I bought sketchers shoe

I often find with pavements so unbalanced and broken slab stones that I look drunk while walking.

I do walk like a mad man, so much so cars toot me as they walk past and often had men shout go sergant major.

If I'm not sweating from a walk, then I don't feel I'm increasing the heart rate enough to do any good.I literally March.

Even slow walking I get this huge intense heat under my skin as of my tissue is being brushed up and down by stinging nettles

Hi reading your post it does sound as if no matter what advice we give you want really take any notice, you state yourself, don't suggest any other forms of exercise, does this not suggest to you that you have actually become addicted to this type of exercise even though its obviously causing more health problems than its relieving.

Have you seen a vascular surgeon to see what exactly is happening inside your legs.

Its possible that you need to have a CT or MRI with contrast to get it sorted.

I don't understand you are asking for advise but don't want advice . If power walking is the problem you should give it up , but you say you don't want to so it's really a waste of time trying to advise you .

But walking as many forget is the best form of exercise

I just get horrid liquid that feels like syrup, trickling under my legs when I walk and the feeling of intense burning from stinging nettles under my skin too

Power walking or any form of exercise which causes you pain or problems is not good for you . It appears that you are addicted to it .Walking is a good form of exercise for some conditions , but is useless for some others . Your power walking appears to be causing your problems ,I think you should seriously concider some other form of exercise . You don,t say if you have had a tkr or other knee surgery . There are plenty of other exercises which help prevent obesity , also the correct diet and not over eating help .

This is a knee replacement forum for for people who have had full or partial knees replaced .

And im really sorry to say this but you seem to be bordering on the obsessive about the power walking even though it is obviously detrimental to your health i can only suggest you see your doctor to seek help

    Good luck.

How is power walking determental to my health

Yes I'm in pain lots of times after, but walking is the best activity for you

You say you are in a lot of pain after power walking , but you don't think power walking is the problem . Walking is not the best activity for you if it is causing severe problems . It's time for you to wake up to the fact that you are causing the problem with your obsession to power walking . People on here are willing to try and help , but you don't really want our advice . You ask for help but then tell us what advise you don't want to hear. I'm sorry but unless you are prepared to take advise there is no point in anyone giving you advise .

Ok, so let me see if I can help you.

    You've had / haven't had TKR?

You ONLY want to powerwalk and it gives you problems...

OK your quote "Please don't suggest other activities, I only like power waking and Aerobics and dancing"  - sure, I won't.

Based on what you're saying I can't do anything for you.

So - your call - I have no advice for because you  only want to powerwalk.

In summation you won't do any other activities except power walking which is giving you problems.

I'm no good at other activities

Power walking is free can be done anywhere or anytime

I just don't know why my legs go so intense and stiff, why they are so painful after, why they leak like syrup running down my legs when I walk, and why under the skin it feels so hot and intense as if they are burning as if I have walked into stinging nettles

If this happens when you power walk , give it up and see your doctor . There are many other forms of exercise which are free and can be done anywhere . I'm sorry to say but it appears that you won't accept any advice you don't like even if it would help .

You sound like the boy who picked up hot coals and complaied they were burning his hand, wanted advise but bidn't want to stop diong the thing that was causing the problem . If that is the case no one here can help .

I have an inkling you may be a troll.

If not a troll , a strange individual who asks for advise , tells us what advise he dosn't want to hear . Can't help someone who only wants advice that he wants to hear and not advice which may help .
