H-pylori gone but not the pain

Anout 7 months ago I was treated for H-pylori. 2 months later an endoscopy revealed it had been eradicated. The stomach pain persisted. Had a HIDA scan , normal , colonoscopy , normal , upper G I ,normal , heart cath , normal , another upper G I , normal. Had numerous ct scans , all normal. My upper abdomin is still giving horrific problems. Last night , I ate 4 trisket crackers . Went to bed around 11pm. Woke at 6 am with severe bloating and pain. Its been this way for 7 months now. The gastro doc just seems to scratch his head and says its gerd or acid reflux. But really has no helpful info on what to do about this.
However , after the last endoscopy , the pictures did show about 3 or 4 red areas inside my stomach. The doc said they were ulcers. So I've stayed clear of all fried foods . In fact I've stayed clear of all unhealthy foods. Don't really know what else to try. Has anyone had ongoing problems after this long ? Going to my GP on the 28th of Sept. but don't know what to say anymore. Any ideas ? I posted here when I was first diagnosed with H-Pylori and had many suggestions. Just about everyone said things shoud get back to normal after a month or so. Well that didn't happen. Thanks , in advance to anyone responding to this..

My first run with H pylori came in 2017 the main symptom started when I felt warm/burning sensation on my right side below the rib cage sort of where the gallbladder is located, This feeling came in stronger as I was eating and during digestion and it also caused me to feel nauseous . Once my stomach was again empty I would burp or fart a lot like once or twice every 30 min, My intestines would rumble and make noise almost all day and my mid back would feel sore right behind the gallbladder. If I laid down I would get a strong pressure feeling on those same areas, abdomen and back. My only solution would be to lay sideways and it would help a lot! I would also wake up with fever in the middle of the night. A friend who's into herbal meds gave me something for digestion, it was a tea mix of mint, cat's claw, chachacualate and a few other things and it cured it in about 4 weeks. A whole year and a half passed and I once again had the same symptoms, this time I did go to the Dr and was brushed off as gastritis, was given antacids and simeticone for the gas also Clebopride to treat functional gastrointestinal disorders and help the intestines empty faster. Took that for about a month and it helped a lot but once I stopped taking them the problems came back but stronger it was then that I was tested via stool sample for H Pylori and came back positive. I was placed on triple therapy (Antibiotic, Pump inhibitor, and acid reducer) for 3-4 weeks. A test was done after the treatment and it showed H Pylori was no longer there although I still had some symptoms, not as bad as before but I can still feel some. At this point (2019) the Dr's don't really know what else to do, after all the research I've done I can say H Pylori takes a long time to fully go away even after tests show it's no longer there your symptoms won't be fully gone, it will bring lots of anxiety and stress and will make you irritable but you gotta remain strong I wish everyone reading this the best! you got this!

You should have gotten the breathe test for h. pylori, very easy and not invasive. the endoscopy took a biopsy aka a piece of meat from your intestines?
I had this ongoing problem for like 2 years on and off, you need to heal your intestines/stomach after h. pylori destruction.

Mine started in August 2019 I was treated for H pylori. I was improving but, in November 2019 it came back. At that time I was taking antibiotics for UTI so thought it's antibiotics side effect but it went even worse. I again took antibiotics in January 2020. I felt better in Feburary 2020 but in March I had some job related stress so I started drinking a little more. The symptoms came back, my GP put me on Omeperazole since than it's three months and I am on bland food diet, I can't eat much. I don't know what kind of infection is H. pylori but, with my experience it's just horrible and I hope to recover soon. It's terrible

hi, i have got H pylori in 2018 and after i got that my digestive system got issues so doctor gave me pantoprazole to take every day one pill for three months so i started taking it but i did not feel any relief. then i was taking on and off pantoprazole but again the food what ever i eat i feel like something stuck on my throat all the time and if eat any spicy food i get severe irritation on my chest and i get puking really badly and it tastes like bitter. its been long time now, my Gastro doctor did all the test required like endoscopy, colonoscopy and everything after 2.5yrs going through all the symptoms but i only get answer from GI i am normal, no issues find but a very tiny polyp removed from the colon. also said take fiber powder as well fiber food, take pantoprazole when ever necessary and some probiotics every day and do some walking which i started doing but did not finding any difference. walking some time giving relief but as soon as i eat any thing i getting the same issues. my family doctor saying the same. now i started getting ear ace with the something blocking on my throat what ever i eat all the time there is no change on this one so my family doctor referred to ENT now but ENT said she can not see me for couple of months due to covid-19 and asked my symptoms well, told me to take Dexilant 30mg but i did not find any difference with my digestive system and still feels like something blocking on my throat what ever i eat...so i started taking again pantoprazole if i take it then only i am going poop or otherwise my stomach will go like bloating and whole day i feel like heavy...i do not know what is happening with my digestive system... why doctors here are not diagnosis patients well? now i am worrying if i leave like this what will happen to my health in near future...i even changed my family doctor couple of times due to this reason. my previous doctor said i am normal i have anxiety... they are not giving any proper solution for my issues.

How are you doing now? Perhaps the H Pylori left some damage you know? IT might take more time for your stomach to heal the inflammation and ulcers.

anna, I have the same symptoms as you. Frequent burping, feeling of lump in the throat, stomach making weird noises, loss of appetite. THese all started about 1 month ago, I never experienced heartburn or acid reflux heart palpilations, dry mouth before. I just finished the triple therapy today. The burping is still there. You're not alone. Any changes with you for the better?

Are you feeling any better...its the worst thing you can have...I had it 13 months ago and still get stomach aches and slow digestion...the thing with h pylori is once its eradicated that doesn't mean your in the clear...this infection leaves scares behind or should I say damage, which takes time to heal...I am still on a diet of greens, white meats, no sugar, caffeine, processed foods, no gluten nor dairy...you have to be motivated and focused...taking probiotics on it's own will not solve the issues...you have to stick to a clean diet, and take several supplements...
iv just started to take the following prescribed by a professional nutritionist and gut specialist
Berberine 400 HCL
Monalaurin 550mg
Saccharomyces boulardii
Probiotic supplement 50 billion CFU
Vitamin B complex, B5 100mg, B6 100mg
Vitamin B12 500mg
Magnesium 250mg
Digestive enzymes
L glutamine
Aloe vera juice
yes quite a few but do your research on each one off these and you will see the benefits of them for your gut...
you take one tablet of each twice daily after a meal...once in the morning after breakfast and once at evening after dinner..
Vitamin B complex and digestive enzymes 3 times a day after each meal..
Aloe vera 25ml mixed in juice or a smoothie in the morning
L glutamine just before bed, 1 teaspoon in warm water and magnesium 250 1 tablet.
Do this for 30 days and you should see a massive difference in your gut and well being..
tool me a little over a year to get this formula after tons of research and finding the right specialist..

Thanks Naveed for your reply. I'm still in pain 5 weeks after finishing. I do try to avoid certain food. I was on this probiotic but only 3 billion so i definitely need to increase that. I will look into the things you suggested. Are you now fully recovered?
