I am 84 years old and had TURP 7 weeks ago, yesterday I had major bleeding. Wondering if any one had similiar condition. Dr doesn't seem worried and said I'll take care of it. Shouldn't I be healed by now? Also how safe is long airplane trips after procedure

Hope you start feeling better yoshiro. It really is nerve racking when this type of thing is going on.

Thanks for words of support. I'm sure it will get better but just the thought of doing nothing, to when do I start doing something is frustrating. Where do you start, will I get into another episode and get set back.

Getting of the original subject but did anyone experience the need to urinate but when you get there you find the need defecate instead. I have had several cases of this recently. Yoshiro67881

That is quite common, do not start obsessing. You have had major chopping about 'down there' and nerve bundles get confused, especially after inflamation.

Thanks for the kind words, but you often wonder is it only me.  Okay others go thru it too.  That's nice to know. I read some place about it but don't recall if it was after a TURP procedure.

There is the simplest of solutions anyway. Wherever you are, and whenever, ALWAYS sit down to pee - it is only polite to others following you not to dribble on the floor in any case.
