Haemorrhoidectomy Hell

I had grade 4 haemorrhoids and skin tags removed Thursday & wish I hadn't had it done! I've never experienced pain like it and that's saying something concidering I've had many ops before that were alot more major! The pain I can't even describe apart from the extreme burning! All I was given was paracetamol and ibruprofen that haven't even touched it and lactalose. Going to go Drs tomorrow as can't go on like this! When I open my bowels I'm literally crying with the pain and it's the smallest of poos I've seen come out of me! I shower my bottom after and warm bath if fiancé home but it's only a short fix. Anyone help me? I'll take any suggestions xx

No I never went that often. I posted my experience and I can tag you in it. I ended up being extremely cinstipated and had to take 4 different laxatives to get my bowels moving after surgery. I got to a point where I barely ate anything because I didn't want to poop every day.

Well it's day 10 and still the pain is like glass cutting me every time I have a bm. I really thought it would have started to improve by now. I read somewhere if u squat or put a stool under ur feet when on the loo it helphs but doesn't seem to ( can't squat but got a small stool) I'm at the end of my tether, going back to doctors tomorrow see what he says as I've seriously had enough now sad

Are Epsom salt baths any good? If so how much salt do I put in a bath? I'm day 11 post Haemorrhoidectomy and still really struggling. Went back to doctors again today and it's still badly infected so on yet another course of antibiotics. I just want it to go away now as this is getting unbearable now, I really can't see a end to this now sad x

Aside from pain what are your other symptoms of infection??

Do you have a fever as well ??

I would just do regular salt instead of Epsom salts.   Regular salt has antibacterial properties too

Hope this gets better really soon Gemma.   Hugs to you

You WILL turn the corner really soonhun xxx

There's a ozzy smelly discharge, I have on off fever and just feel exhausted with it all especially the pain that's not only when I have a bm. Is that normal table salt u recommend? Wouldn't that sting?

I've just had enough especially being around Christmas 😔Xx

Epson salt is completely different from table salt. It's a laxative if taken orally, and a helps muscle relax when used in a bath. It does help. As for the discharge. Is it discharge? Or anal leakage?

They aren't sure what that the ozzy leakage is and have done some swabs but I can tell u it's got a bad smell. So what salt would u say would be best then as getting different opinions and I just want things to calm so I can try and enjoy Christmas x

Yes Gemma just normal table salt.      Abt a cup full in a small bath.   It doesn’t sting at all.

Gemma what antis r you on?!

Perhaps they’re the wrong ones for the infection which is why ur not better

      R u on flagyl/metronidazole?!

They’re really good for butt bugs

I was on metronidazole and now co-amoxiclav and they have taken swabs which I'll get results next Wednesday due to Christmas! I'm just hoping this will sort it as its really getting to me 😔X

i hope to get some advice from this group.

I had haemorrhoidectomy about 4 months ago. It took a long time to recover. Up to this day, I still can see blood in my stool, and experience pain when BM (not severe, tallerable). Any similar experience, and advice is appreciated.
