Hair loss

Hi I’m posting for advice in regards to my medication levothyroxine and hair loss .  I noticed 2 years ago I was losing my hair . I went to the doctors several times where I had tests take to be told they were all normal (hair loss was my only noticeable symptom) . Fast forward a year and half I went to see a hair specialist privately who ordered tests where it was discovered I had low iron , vit d and borderline under active thyroid . I have been on this medication for 10 weeks and have noticed my hair loss is worse . Has anyone else experienced this and is there other medications available. While all this is going I am also trying to conceive and finding that difficult also . Any help would be much appreciated x

I had a lot of hair loss before I got diagnosed in September. Only after a few months ago did I start losing less hair. Had to switch to expense hair products that were parabrn free- it didn’t damage my hair as much. I recommend biolage

Hi,  I had the same thing. It took almost a year for my hair to thicken again. And I did have ups and downs bc my dose  constantly changed. I’ve been on the same dose for the last  2 months and there’s less hair on my brush. If you’re stressed all the time, that will contribute to hair loss as well. I switched to expensive hair products too. The less abrasive stuff the better.  I’m sorry about your troubles with conception, I’m having the same problem.
