Hi Tina and hi ladies......... well they're out, and I can report there was a moment of pure tugging and then they were gone, quite surprised how hard surgeon had to pull, my daughter watched (I didn't) so I would say no pain in first toe, slightly sore the second however I did knock it a few days ago so it's been sore anyway, it was all over really quickly and definitely less painful than having the stitches out.......... putting my foot flat down feels really weird, not painful more numb, but immediately it's a relief, I think I am going to be ok, toes still sitting a little low but when I put pressure they do level up, he wants to see me in 12 weeks, and he's just said he's happy, so I guess I should be too.... I did have a little cry but not because of any pain, more emotional really.
It's not a pleasant thing to go through and there is definitely not a quick fix, my toes are still twice the size of my other foot but, I reckon we have success.......
Let me know how you all do, sure it's all going to be worth it for all of us in the end............ Regards Karen xxx

Hi Tina,
Just wanted to say that I underwent surgery for PIPJ Fusion with the use of K-wires, on both feet on my fourth toe.
I get my dressings off in 10 days and the sutures will be removed then, slightly nervous about how my feet will look and I'm hoping it will all heal as it should be! The important thing I keep reminding myself is that it hopefully will all be worth it and my reasons for having the surgery done will be resolved.
Take care,
Kayleigh
