Hard to breath and panic with Mono? Please help

Hi everyone,

I am 23 and really starting to spiral here and looking for any help. 9 weeks ago I woke up knowing something was wrong and couldnt pinpoint it. Over the past 9 weeks ive had extreme shortness of breath (constant even at rest) horrible fatigue that I didnt even trust myself to drive, feelings of detachment and intense brain fog( these have gotten better), and the feeling like my heart is working hard or beating fast when it is not. this butterfly feeling in my chest spins me into panic attacks constantly. I barely sleep because of these feelings of racing heart. I have seen cardiologist, pulmonologist, ENT, and GI. so many tests and everything comes out perfect. Only thing they could find was high EBV antibodies for past or recent infection but nothing currently showing active infection (they just did this test at 9 weeks).

around 2 weeks ago i started to feel better and most of my symptoms subsided ( except for trouble breathing) but now the palpitations/anxiety/chest pain is all back. i dont feel the horrible fatigue anymore but im left with all these terrible symptoms. could this really be from mono?

the shortness of breath scares me the most because i didnt think mono could cause this and it never goes away even at rest. I spiral very badly because i never had typical mono symptoms except for the intense fatigue (no fever or swollen tonsils) I wish that my test would have shown active so that i could have peace of mind. i feel like it is probably mono because no antibiotics ever made me feel better and i got strep throat during this time too but the difficulty breathing and panic is making me scared its something far worse even though doctors cant find anything.

please help me.
